Description for Fiat 124 Spider 1982

This is the time of year to buy an Italian, red convertible touring car. Have all of the head turning appeal of a classic penned by Pinnaferina but with the modern conveniences of fuel injection along with four-wheel disc brakes. The car currently has a bit over 105,500 miles but you could not tell from the looks of it; clean title, in hand. Car has been in my family for a couple of years, brought to New England from the salt-free roads of Tennessee, has been stored inside since purchased and has never seen a rainy day.

This is one of roughly 700 Fiat Spider 2000's modified by Legend Industries from NA to Turbo. Unfortunately, the turbo setup was a bit crude due to limitations of the day so this car had the turbo removed long ago in favor of reliability and longevity. While the turbo and manifold might have been removed/replaced, the car still sports the original, rare Cromodora CD134 "Turbo" wheels along with the turboboost gauge, turbo oil drain port, related wiring for fuel control under boost along with wiring/plumbing diagram sticker.

Car is mechanically in good working order, fires up every time. Car recently had worked done (by owner) to ensure it stays reliable including timing belt, water pump, plugs/wires, thermostat/hoses, fuel filter and brakes. Not impacting performance but for full disclosure, the car has a minor oil leak from some seals that need replacement and the previous owner put some Delrin bushings in the front, so the suspension has a bit of a rattle. The car also has a mis-matched set of tires, although the tread is okay and they hold air so replacement hasn't been a priority.

Cosmetically, the car is in phenomenal shape given it's age and mileage. It does show signs of a respray but the paint is in good condition. There are a couple of bubbles in the left and right rear fenders that should be addressed. The door edges show some nicks and chips but overall the car is dent/ding free. Car has a new soft top and a new dashpad. Seats appear to be original and are in great shape, no tears or rips. All gauges work (minus the boost gauge obviously). The interior is in good shape but the devil is in the details; courtesy lights and dash lights aren't currently working and there a few other minor details that need fixing or replacing.

In general, this car is ready to be a solid seasonal daily driver and for a little more money it could be a taken to show car status. With prices on the rise as these cars are starting to be truly appreciated for their heritage; this one is a solid investment that can be driven every day.

Will work with the buyer to arrange transportation (at buyers expense) but I am also willing to pickup at BOS or PVD if you're flying in or possibly deliver within ~100 miles. Car is still on the road and can be made available for showing.
