What we have here folks is a very solid little car-truck. You can get the best of both worlds with this 1965 Falcon Ranchero. Yes, his is a real solid 1965. They only made 2 years of this body. These are getting very rare and very hard to find.
Yes, t is a small block Ford with a 600 Holley. The motor starts up and runs perfectly, nd it does not burn oil. The transmission shifts great and smooth with no noises. The 8 inch rear end cruises down the freeway nice and smoothly at 70 MPH. The rear shocks have overload springs on them, s seen in the pictures. It has 14 inch American racing wheels, hich goes nice and straight down the road. It has dual exhausts that come out behind the rear wheels, nd are very quiet.
The front and rear bumpers have been rechromed and the grille and headlight doors are nice and straight. All the emblems are either new or refurbished. This car is very complete. It has a bright bluemetallic paint job that looks awesome in the sunlight. All the lights and windows work, s they should. The inside of the bed is coated with aurethanerubber coating that is not slippery. The bed is in nice shape and is not all rusted out. The tailgate goes up and down well.
The interior has a set of recently replaced door trim panels, ith a Rancheroinsigniaon them. There is a new headliner, nd the dash pieces have all been detailed with an original-looking AM/FM Radio with anauxiliarycord, o you could play your iPod, aptop, P3 player, r anything else that uses a headphone jack, ll in the original radio hole. It has two bass speaker boxes behind the seat, nd the speaker up in the dash works. The speedometer works, s does the fuel gauge, ut the temp gauge just quit working days ago. You could install an auxiliary temp gauge.
The windshield has a pinhole in it. The transmission drips a little bit. Other then that, here's nothing major wrong with it. This is a 51 year old car that I'm describing to the best of my ability.
I've only driven this car about 100 miles this year, o its got to go. It is a lot of fun to drive, nd goes down the road straight.
