Description for Ford Mustang 1969
For sale is my beloved 1969 Ford Mustang Sportsroof or Fastback. I bought this car in 2002 from CAlifornia because I was looking for a rust free car. This car was born in San Jose and remained there until I bought it. All body panels are original to the car as far as I can tell. The car has never been wrecked or rusted. Don't be fooled by the cars out there with the nice paint job and nice wheels that are covering up the butchered up body! This car has had one repainted in the early 80's from what I was told back then and I have never touched it. It shines nice and it's in pretty nice condition considering how old it is. It does have the sport mirrors and the rocker mouldings. I took out the door glass to swap in the '70 bolt in glass but never completed the swap. I do have all brackets but no glass. I also did remove the front grill and headlights so that I could paint the engine compartment before installing the new motor but never got that far. Lack of time and interest is only reason for sale. The interior is exactly like it is when I bought the car. This is a non A/C car. Very good condition. It's the standard interior with the headrest bucket seats and center console with auto floor shift. I was going to convert it to manual 4 speed and have all parts for that also.
Motor was orig 302 it's now gone and I have a new built 408w stroker sitting on the engine stand. Motor built using a '72 block converted to roller lifter cam, sing a Coast Hight Performance cast crank 408 kit, omp Cams cam, orged Pistons, delbrock Vic Jr heads, delbrock water pump, ord Motorsport harmonic balancer, delbrock Air Gap intake port matched to heads. Motor was built specifically for this car using 3.50 gears. All new and I have a pile of receipts. Could sell car for $25k without engine.
Car has a 9" rear freshened up with a new Auburn Pro traction lok unit and stock 28 spline axles. New rear leaf springs with 1" lowered and all new hardware. I have new brake parts and brake lines, oil springs and other stuff still new in boxes. Also some new parts to freshen up the power steering, ew wiring, nd lots more I cannot think of. Almost everything needed to freshen up most components of the car. By no means is this a major restoration project. I guess it could be if you wanted, ut it will not take much work to put the car on the road and drive and enjoy it.
I am not desperate to sell the car. It's an original sheet metal car that has not been cut up and replaced with a bunch of Chinese and Tiawan metal like most cars out there. And, he underside of this car is just as clean as the top. I will try and post more pics as soon as get time.
