Description for Ford F-100 1970
I am selling my 1970 Ford F100 Custom pickup truck. This truck is a classic and is an excellent platform for further restoration. If you believe that saying "They don't build them like they used to. then this may be the perfect truck for you and your restoration project. Overall this is a very solid vehicle. The most significant flaws are some rust around the roofline and the passenger-side floorboard. There are several dents. most particularly in the rear bedsides and left front fender. The truck was repainted prior to my ownership in its original Boxwood Green and Aztec Gold (yellow). Mechanically it is very sound. It starts up every time runs well. This is a basic pick up truck. By that I mean that it does not have power brakes . power steering or an automatic transmission. Nor does it have air conditioning. Power windows. power door locks. etc. It has a 302 V8 with a three speed manual transmission with its original column shifter. The floor has not been cut for a floor shifter conversion as is common with these trucks. It has an 8 foot bed. The interior has a restored headliner. new dash pad cover. refurbished door panels and reupholstered seat. The interior screws have all been replaced with stainless steel screws. I disassembled the heater box and restored it with a new heater core and seals. It has New heater hoses and a new heater control valve. Also under the hood I refurbish the original air cleaner and installed a new battery tray and hold down. I also installed a period correct step bumper with new license plate light. It has air shocks with new air lines. The tires are fair but I would probably replace them. The brakes work well but require a little extra effort because of the lack of a power brake option? am selling this because I have too many projects and I need to let this one go. reluctantly. If I were to continue the restoration process I would focus on body and paint. But do you have. it is mechanically sound and I drive it frequently. I have attempted to describe this true to the best of my ability. If there any questions please ask and if there are any parts of the truck you would like to see other photographs of please ask. I believe the photographs I've included with this listing are very self-explanatory. The odometer reads 66. 07 miles. I honestly do not know if that is original or if The odometer has clicked over once or even twice. I will accept payment by PayPal. Shipping can be arranged by any number of providers listed on eBay. Of course you're always welcome to have an appraiser or mechanic come look at it. Thank you for looking at my listing.
