Description for Ford Mustang 1972
1972 Ford Mustang. This is one of the best project cars you will find. Build it or use for parts. It has an exceptional rust free body on it still wearing the original paint. The paint would be good enough to keep except for a few areas. Car has never been in an accident. No dents or waves in the sheet metal. Being 42 years old it's not perfect but you may not find one straighter for the money. Read on for more details. MOTOR- Car has the original 6 banger that I will be putting back in the car soon. Previous owner pulled it out to but a big block in it and that never happened. Has the original motor and auto transmission. Still trying to get the drive shaft. Odometer shows 30. 00 miles and previous owner believes that to be the correct mileage and looking over the car I'd say it's very possible. Motor is all there but the air cleaner and is very clean. Zero rust any where under the hood except for under the battery as usual. INTERIOR- It's all there. Some pieces are out but come with the car. Needs redone due to age not wear. There is no headliner at all. Needs seats recovered. package tray. rear interior plastic panels are drying out due to age/heat. Looks like front floor pans have been sectioned in with good replacements. Passenger rear has a few holes in it but might be solid enough to glass over. Door panels are in great condition. Dash is complete and nice. Dash pad is not bad at all. just a seam split up top. Radio is in the trunk. Would be a real nice dash cleaned up. Be a real good interior to convert to black very easily. No carpet of course. BODY- Amazing exterior. Fenders. doors. rockers. rear quarters. trunk. glass are all near perfect. I'd replace the hood. it's got a hole cut in the center and has some rust at the front lip. If you wanted to keep it I'm sure you could put a hood scoop over the hole and just fix the rust under neath the hood. You cannot see any rust up on top the hood. Trunk area is fantastic. The one area needs some work is in the cowl. It has some rust around the top hat vent tubes. Seems like most Fords of this era go in this area. It's an area that no one will notice while looking how nice the exterior is on this car. Wheel well molding are very nice. Grill is dang near perfect. Tail panel is dang near perfect. Both bumpers have some surface rust on them. Tail panel is fantastic. Lights and lenses are great. Needs wheels and tires too as you can see. these are just rollers.
