--
This is a 37 foot school bus, itled as a motor home. It's got a 5.4 diesel Cummins engine with 192,990 miles on it.
We purchased this in Pennsylvania and our family did the RV conversion here in Missouri, here it is titled as an RV.
It starts right up, ut it is leaking oil, o we have check oil and add oil as needed. Our mechanic says it has a main seal leak, o he would have to pull the engine to fix it.
The front tires were replaced about 3 years ago, nd they're in great condition. The rear dually tires, hich are not re-treads, re showing their age, ut still have some life in them.
There are two NEW deep cycle batteries included.
Known issues: has a main seal leak that requires the engine to be pulled.
Brakes need adjusting. They seem reliable, ut at long stops they lose pressure and you have to give it some diesel to build pressure, hich it always does.
Has some blow by.
Keeps to a 67 mph top speed on flat ground. Slow accelerating on hills.
Side mirrors need some stabalizing. Wind keeps moving them.
INTERIOR DETAILS
We have done a lot of the grunt work on the interior, ut there is much room for your special customizations.
The floor behind the driver's area has been insulated. Lower walls have been insulated and paneled. The back wall of passenger compartment is paneled, ramed in steel studs and has a wooden door.
In the front passenger compartment, here is seating for about 17, ost with seatbelts. A second captain's chair is behind and to the right of the driver's seat. Then there is seating for three dinettes (two tables are installed, ut we have a third table included). With your modification, he tables drop down and convert into sleep space. Plus, he spacing of the seating allows you to use three standard Army stretchers (available at surplus stores) for three more bunks!
In place of a fourth dinette, here is a L shaped seating nook. We used this for strapping in children's carseats.
The bench seating is all original bus seats, o very durable and water resistant. There are some torn areas that need stitching, ut easy to keep clean.
The bus passenger windows are tinted glass and work fairly well. We have made dark green, nap on, urtains which roll up and tie. There are also curtains for the entire windshield and entry door, o lots of privacy for camping.
Behind the wall and door, he rear section continues to be paneled below th windows. There is a walled, oilet area, ith a sliding latching door, ith a flushing RV toilet. Outside that space there is a formica counter for food prep, wire shelf above counter, nd below is the 30 gallon water tank for flushing. Opposite the counter is a clothing hanging area (not enclosed) which is the idea place to put a work desk if someone desired (it is over the rear wheels, o least bouncy). There is room for bunk beds and a full sized bed. (We had built platform for a bed with space underneat for storage). The floor here has had some water contact from rain leaking, o some tiles need replacing.
Under the bathroom is a 40 gallon black water tank. RV dumping kit included.
We had no generator, ut have a pass through for extension cords so we would "plug in" at campgrounds, sing fans, eurig, lectric kettle for instant oatmeal packets, nd twinkle lights throughout for night lighting. Festive, un and practical!
OUSTSIDE
The exterior is painted with Rustoleum, an and green. Paint is still in pretty good condition. Two roof vents, ne seems to be re caulked as it was leaking rain recently. We expect to have that re done.
Three outside storage compartments were used for chairs, upplies, amping gear. They are fairly water tight, ut we did wrap important things.
We're also including a un-installed, sed, arrier roof AC unit.
