1948 Ford F-5 truck with running Flathead V8 8BA engine & hoist with good tires

For auction is this 1948 ford truck.

We hate to see it go but we are selling a few of our projects so that we can purchase an antique motorcycle we have wanted for quite sometime.

This is a great old truck and the flathead V8 runs.

We recently rebuilt the carbureto, nstalled new fuel pump, ew spark plugs, nd also new spark plug wires.

Engine runs great and we do not see any smoke when it is running.

While the engine was running we pulled the hoist knob on the dash and the hoist support went up and hoist cylinder worked.

Interior looks great for the age of this truck. Seat fabric has a few holes in it but looks very presentable as well.

The tires are in great condition on the rear and on the front and look barely used. A few of them do have some very small amounts of weather checking on the sidewalls but very hard to see. Great tires !

The brakes will need to be checked and serviced. currently the brakes are not working.

The transmission shifted into all gears and we moved the truck back/forth while it was running.

The old wiring looks like it will need to be freshened up with some modern wires in certain places. The ignition switch was not working so we bypassed the electrical system and hooked a hot wire to the alternator and the ballast resistor and it starts great that way. if you want it to be a dependable driver the ignition will need to be replaced and some of the wires going through the firewall to the engine bay.

Truck has been converted to a 12 volt alternator.

Really neat old truck.

Cashiers check or cash would be preferred. We are allowing 10 days for payment so that you have plenty of time to get the check in the mail. Check must clear our bank before we will release possession of the truck.
