Full Frame Off Restoration To Factory Specifications
EGauctions.com is proud to present this stunning 1961 Ford F100 Short Box that has been meticulously restored to factory specifications, ust like it rolled off new from the showroom floor in 1961...Unibody series trucks from 61 to 63 are super rare and highly desirable...this one is a gem!!!
The restoration was completed over a 3 year period from a solid and rust free unibody shortbox with the sole purpose of keeping it all original, o custom work, o engine transplant, o flashy interior...just beautiful and simple like it was manufactured.
Great pride went into the restoration including a full interior resto, ll gauges, ash, loor mats, anels, ou name it was done...even the radio was restored and works great. The only upgrade, eside the immaculate bench seat, s the aftermarket wheels on it now, owever the full set of four rims, ires and caps come with the truck as well.
We have included several pictures of the chassis and undercarriage, ven the box was painted underneath to match the exterior and everything was replaced, ts super clean and solid as you can see. The drive-train was completely rebuilt and the original 223 6 - 135HP engine runs as it should, mooth shifting 3 speed in the tree manual transmission...fun to drive and a fan favorite at all the local shows.
The unibody F100 trucks are extremely collectable and are skyrocketing in price
Great Truck, ery nicely restored, reat driver with only 1790 miles on it since its completion, nd best yet....needs a new home so bid away!
There are some designs that were so out there, o far ahead of their time, o far ahead of the technology needed to make them work properly that it's hard to believe Ford's engineers managed to get them off the ground. Such designs were the one-piece unibody trucks, vailable on the fourth-generation F-100 and F-250, hat make these trucks highly sought after.
Ford originally referred to them as the "integrated pickup," but calling them "unibodies" was the name that stuck. The nickname derives from the fact that the cab and box are one continuous piece, ith no gap between them as in this stunning example. The same stamping forming the back of the cab was also the leading edge of the bed, nd the single-wall bed sides were spot-welded directly to the door sills. The one-piece body was then set atop a traditional frame-style chassis, aking the unibody pickup more similar to a body-on-frame car than a true unitized assemble, ool design and beautiful lines make these real special truck....
