Late 1931 Ford Model AA Stake Dump Truck A Budd Cab Hand Crank Body Antique Old

Description for Ford Model A 1931

Late 1931 stake dump truck. This truck is a older restoration. It was completed in 2000 and had less then 100 miles put on since. This truck has the rare Budd solid metal roof cab with indented firewall. Ford started to use this cab in mid 31 until the end of model A/AA production. In area 14 of the judging standards Ford offered as a option to paint the frame and wheels a different color than black starting in mid 31.

The paint on the cab has some rust issues developing on the bottom of the doors and back of the cab. The windshield frame also has some rust issues. The rest of the body is in decent shape. The fenders are steel and I only noticed a small stone chip on the passenger side.

The paint on the stake body is in very good shape. All the wood is oak and painted the same color as the body. I currently use a Budd wheel wrench to raise and lower the body. This works ok but something with a longer handle would make it easier. It raises higher then in the picture.

The truck is currently not running although I frequently turn it over by hand to keep things free. It will need a battery and may also need points and condenser. I'm selling this truck because I have 2 young children and just down have time to use it. Truck is located just outside of Buffalo NY
