Up for auction with NO RESERVE!!! is ameticulously restored,nut and bolt restoration California Black and Yellow plate Ford Galaxie Sunliner! Originally this car was purchased new from Swanson Ford in Los Gatos and still retains the original license plate frames. This car is beautiful and every nut and bolt throughout the entire car has been either restored or replaced andwherever possible NOS parts have been used in the restoration. There are less than 30 miles on the entire build and again, VERYTHING IS NEW. What is not has been restored or refurbished and all NEW OLD STOCK parts have been usedwherever possible that took over 2 years to compile. The paint and body is in excellent condition and show quality. The body was blasted down to bear metal. There is absolutely no rust whatsoever on this car. During the restoration there was a little discovered in the floorboard so the decision was made to replaceboth floorboards with factory replacements making it 100% completely rust-free. It was then given a 2-stage base coat/clear coat extremely high quality paint job everywhere on the car. All the metal inside and outside of the car is painted body color. Even under the dash and carpet areas where it is unseen is the same color as the body. As you can see in the pictures the paint and body looks perfectweatheryou're up close or far away. All the brightwork has been either triple-plated rechromed or highly polished. The undercarriage is impeccable and highly detailed with every nut and bolt being new. The rear axle has been fully detailed with all the correct factory grease pen markings. All the suspension components and bushings are completely 100% brand new and highly detailed. The front coil springs have the correct factory grease penmarkings. The car rides really well with all the brand new components. A late model 351 V8 roller motor and Ford AOD automatic transmission have been installed along with a shortened drive shaft that has been cut and balanced. The 351 V8 makes the car more reliable and easier to drive as well as much easier to purchase parts for if anything should happen compared to the original FE 352. The Ford AOD transmission with the OD makes the car very easy to drive in todays modern traffic and makes a great highway cruiser all the while saving gas. I can see if the restoration shop still has the original 352 andoriginal transmission if it is desiredhowever it is notguaranteed. The car has stock exhaust manifolds with brand new stainless steel dual exhaust that has a nice mellow stock sound. The complete braking system is all brand new inside and out including new lines, hoes, heel cylinders and all components. The car has brand new 15" Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with beautiful Ford Crest tri-bar spinner center caps. Brand new classic 1 & 1/2" wide white wall tires so new that the stickers andprotective coating are still on them. All the electrical front to back is brand new and is incredibly detailed even under the dash. Everything works as it should. The AM radio is not hooked up but it has been refurbished. The speedometer has been completely rebuilt and was set to zero upon completion of the build. Theunder dash A/C unit has been completely rebuilt and is ready to be plumbed if A/C is desired. The heater core, an blower and all heater parts have been completely andmeticulouslyrestored. The original dash was pulled out and completely refurbished. All the rubber and gaskets and weatherstripping has been completelyreplaced and is all-new throughout. The A/C tinted glass throughout is all new. The driver quarter window has a hairline crack as seen in the picture. It is flat glass and very easy and cheap to replace. The upholstery has been completely redone in a beautifultri-tone stock pattern. The factory teal carpet kit is brand new. All the door panels and handles and accoutrements are all NOS parts and brand new. This is an extremely highly detailed car and it shows better in person. The convertible top is brand new along with all the power top components including the: pump, ams and lines. The power top works flawlessly. The factory NOSsun visorslook great. I have been waiting for NOS sill plates to become available so at the moment there are no sill plates. Later model Galaxie sill plates will fit and are available. The optional NOS remote trunkrelease works excellent. The trunk is highly detailed and completely painted inside and out. The factory trunk mat, pare tire, pare tire cover and highly detailed factory jack lookabsolutely stunning. The engine compartment is highly detailed and extremely clean. It looks amazing. No modifications have been done to the car to allow thelate model 351 to be installed therefore going back to the original 352 if desired would just be a matter ofchanging motor mounts back over. All in all I would rate this car a 10 out of 10. It is beautiful and everything is brand new and ready for someone to enjoy. This car looks better in person than it does in the pictures and it looks amazing in the pictures. The attention to detail on every little component and nut and bolt make this Sunliner one in a million. This is an extremely rare car and this is your chance to own it at NO RESERVE.
