1965 Ford GT40 Mk 1 by CAV -This is a reproduction (not a kit car) made by CAV in 2000(www.cav.co.za/). It is titled in CA as a specially constructed vehicle (no emissions testing required). It has a Ford V-8 302 with single Holley 4-barrel carb and 5-speed Getrag gearbox, tainless steel orginal-pattern "bundle of snakes" 8-branch header exhaust system with two collectors, ufflers and stainless steel heat shield. 2 sets of Halibrand alloy pin-drive wheels with center knock-off hub, ront 8"x15" and rear 10"x15" (one set has street tires, he other track tires).Leather upholstery with original-styled cockpit layout, ool carpeting and air conditioning.

I purchased it in 2003 with 400 miles on it and have driven it very little, ostly locally although I have trailered it to Willow Springs and Pahrump and have taken instructional track sessions with it. It is amazing to drive at the track and keeps up with almost everything out there even though I have little track experience and never pushed it much. It got a broken windshield at the track and when at the body shop someone backed into it. The fiberglass body was expertly repaired and the whole car repainted (same color but no dings in paint). It looks fabulous and sounds amazing. It had been sitting covered in my garage for the last 8 years with little driving. I have $65,000 in it but need to sell it. I'm not driving it and have 4 kids going to college soon.
