i have for auction my 1962 ford thunderbird, have owned the car since 2012, he engine was rebuilt in around 1974 before the car was parked due to transmission issues, nd runs excellent it has some oil seepage from the seals as it sat from 74 to around 2010 or so but it does not smoke, nd the oil pan has a repair that might need replacing, ve installed an edelbrock performer series carb, nd still have the old motor craft that came off the car, long with a new oe distributor and retrofitted it with a CDI ignition to replace the points. the transmission was rebuilt from the ground up in winter of 2012 and i installed an aftermarket trans-cooler and have had no problems since, ts the cruse-o-matic with the secondary drive option for taking off on loose or slippery terrain. had some electrical issues awhile back, en is out and needs to be replaced or rebuilt, installed a new regulator, t also needs a headlight switch to fix the lighting issues with the gauge lights, nd it has duel exhaust dumping out behind the doors, unning glass packs but the glasspacks need to be removed as they give little clearance over hard bumps in the road, decided not to fix that since im selling it and a buyer might not want factory exhaust as i would have done. i think thats it for the issues so list of new things : rebuilt front brakes, ew master cyl, ew brake light switch, ew vacuum booster, ew generator regulator, ew exhaust manifolds ( only passenger side installed) hot spark cdi ignition system, ustom auto sound stereo with factory location single cone duel voice coil speaker, nd miss maintenance items( plugs wires ). im selling the car mostly because Ive lost interest i n it and want to buy a Plymouth, lus i need to free up some cash, ll be honest i have $9,000 into the car all told and im not expecting to make a profit just hoping to free up some money, s it sits with the battery charged up its still an excellent driver and head turner, hardly ever see another bullet bird at any of the other car shows, nd she doesn't need all that much work to be a nice show piece if you know what your doing. car is available for local pick up or shipping, will work with your shipping company but you are responsible, lease ask any questions and i will respond a.s.a.p.
