Description for Ford E-Series Van 1991
Summary: 1991 Ford Econoline E150 Clubwagon XLT. It was originallyorderednew from Ford with the venerable 4.9 liter (300 C.I.) six cylinder engine (see history below), lectronic Fuel Injection (EFI), nd 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. I bought it last year and it is in excellent condition for a 24 year old vehicle. All lights, urn signals, ruise control, tc. are in correct working condition, nd the jack and spare are also as they should be. The A/C will need to be recharged. I’ve driven it from San Jose to San Diego numerous times and average about 18-20 mpg. The paint is original and the interior is in very good condition as you can see from the attached pictures. Mechanically it is in excellent condition. Whatever maintenance it needed I have had it done. I’ve also updated a number of items, o there are no issues with the vehicle. It is a great tow vehicle and is extremely comfortable to drive around town, n the weekend, r for extended trips / vacations.- Detailed information:

- 4.9 liter inline six cylinder - Engine History
- The 300 cu in (4.9 L) six was added for Ford’s F-series trucks in 1965. It was essentially a 240 cu in (3.9 L) with a longer stroke. The two engines are nearly identical; the differences are in the rotating assembly and combustion chamber sizes in the head.
- Engine sizes were converted to metric for 1983, ausing the 300 to become the "4.9". Fuel injection and other changes in 1987 pushed output up to 145 hp (108 kW) with 8.8:1 compression. The 4.9-liter 6-cylinder was built in the Cleveland, hio engine plant.
- Almost all UPS trucks used this motor and many UPS trucks still use the 300 to this day.
- The 300 was also used in larger vehicles such as dump trucks, any weighing into the 15,000–20,000 pound range, as well as Airport Baggage Tow Tractors, ki lifts, ower generators, il derricks, wood chippers, nd tractors.
