Description for Ford Other 1977

This auction is for a 1977 Ford Maverick, ase edition, wo door coupe. Vehicle was donated by thelocalRuritan club tothe local high school. The auto repair shop at the high school did the work on the car and I will describe it to the best of my knowledge. The engine has not been rebuilt however it was removed, isassembled to some pointand all new gaskets were installed. Also the engine block was painted. The front brakes have been upgraded to newdisc brakes and the back brakes have new cylinders. The radiator is new as well as the fuel pump, ll fuel lines, he water pump andthe carpet. The seatshave beenupholstered by the school youngsters. They also made thedoor trim panels.The carburetor has been rebuilt however the air cleaner sits too high forthe hood to closefor some reason. The paint job which was done prior to the schoolwork is a basecoat clearcoat acrylic urethane finish however there area fewchips in the paint. The worst chipping is at the cowl, ight side because the hood hinges are worn and need to be replaced.The body appears to be not perfect but very straight. There is minorrust in the bottom of the doors from water sitting. I would assume the weep holes were stopped up at some point.The rockers are in good condition with no rust.The undercarriage and floor pansare free of rust and in good condition. The exhaust was cut about 3 feet beyond the manifold and has not been replaced. The car is loud. The catalytic converter and air pump were saved and will go with the car however they are not installed at this point. The car is licensed and insured and can be driven all thatone wishes however it is loud. The tires look okay however some dry rot cracks are noticeable and are not to be trusted. The trunk weatherstrip and the doorweatherstrips were taken off prior to thepainting and have not been replaced. The back glass molding is missing the top section. There is a power steering line that will need replacing at some point as it hasa minordrip. No other leaks. Other than that I believe the car is complete. The side marker at the right front is not installed but it goes with the car. All lights work properly but there is no dome light. Vehicle starts runs and drives fine however in my opinion I believe the lower ball joints will need replacing as the steering is a bit loose. I believe the vehicle to have 104,000 miles but cannot guarantee this to be true. If there are any unanswered questions, eel free to ask. If more photos are needed, lease ask.
