Description for Ford F-100 1967
We know a lot of you scan our inventory regularly, nd if you do, ou've seen trucks similar to this 1967 Ford F100 pickup sell in near-record time. Sure, amaros and Mustangs are hot, ut these are the vehicles that get snatched up within days of being posted, nd this 390-powered dark green one is a lot nicer than most.If you grew up in the '70s, rucks very much like this were a common sight, ut today? Not so much. Most were mere tools, sed up and tossed aside, ith Ford all too happy to build you a replacement. This one appears to have followed a different path, erhaps with someone who wanted a little utility on the weekends but who also appreciated a bit of muscle on the daily drive. The dark green paint looks great on the slab-sided pickup, bit formal and a bit sporty; maybe if Frank Bullitt drove a pickup, his is what it would have looked like. Gaps are very good all around and the bed hasn't been bashed by heavy loads, nd as a lifetime southern vehicle, ou know that the steel is in good shape. There's plenty of bright trim on this top-of-the-line Ranger, ncluding a stand-up hood ornament, riginal aluminum grille that's in remarkably good shape, nd chrome bumpers that really sparkle against the dark green paint. The bed is in great shape, s I mentioned, nd it's covered by a professionally applied spray-in bedliner that shows rather well. The black interior is a very upscale looking place for a '60s pickup truck, articularly with the fresh cloth and vinyl seat cover for the original bench. It's mostly original, ith a factory dash full of gauges in a wide oval panel and the secondary controls underneath. This truck also offers factory A/C, hich is a nice bonus that uses R134a refrigerant for modern performance and serviceability. The thick steering wheel obviously isn't original but it looks and feels right in the vintage pickup truck. Overhead you'll find a modern AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in a neat custom console, hich cleans up the look of the original dashboard quite a bit. Black carpets help with noise and heat control, s does the slight tint on the windows.A strong-running 390 cubic inch V8 provides impressive performance in the relatively lightweight pickup truck. With legendary durability and a great V8 exhaust note, ou'll quickly forget about hauling hay when you're behind the wheel. It's equipped with a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor, n Edelbrock intake, nd a familiar MSD coil to help it run its best, hile a few chrome dress-up pieces make the big engine bay look racy. An electric fan does a superior job of keeping it cool in traffic, lthough with that giant radiator, t's probably never been an issue. Underneath there's a C6 speed automatic transmission and a heavy-duty 9-inch rear end, o you can still use this truck as intended and the suspension is pretty much stock so no worries about bottoming-out with a load in back. Late-model Ford chrome wheels add some sparkle and still look proper and they're wrapped in fat 255/70/15 white-letter radials. So don't be surprised if you see this one move to the SOLD page pretty quickly. Hopefully you're the guy who grabbed it, ecause trucks this nice don't come along all that often. Call now!
