WE ARE ALWAYS ON THE HUNT FOR CLEAN CLASSICS BUT ESPECIALLY ORIGINAL SURVIVORS AND CLASSIC TRUCKS, O THIS TRUCK BEING THE PERFECT COMBO OF THE TWO WE COULDN'T LEAVE WITHOUT IT. THE ORIGINAL OWNER OWNED THIS TRUCK MOST OF ITS LIFE UNTIL JUST A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN IT WAS SOLD TO IT'S SECOND OWNER IN PORTLAND. HE CLEARLY LOVED AND CARED FOR THIS TRUCK OTHER WISE IT JUST WOULD NOT BE THIS CLEAN, RIGINAL AND COMPLETE. THIS TRUCK DRIVES AS GOOD AS ANY 72 F100 EVER CAN. IT HAS NICE SOLID OPENING AND CLOSING DOORS FREE OF ANY DOOR SAG THAT GIVE THAT SOLID POP SOUND WHEN THE DOOR HANDLE IS PUSHED AND THAT BEAUTIFUL DEEP VAULT LIKE SOLID SOUND EVERY CAR GUYLOVES TO HEAR WHEN CLOSING THE HEAVY DOOR ON A CLASSIC. THE STEERING IS AS TIGHT AND STRAIGHT AS YOU COULD GET AND A VERY SOLID AND SOUND DRIVE IN THE CAB FREE OF ANY RATTLES. WHEN WE PURCHASED THE TRUCK WE WERE NEVER REALLY GIVEN A CLEAR ANSWER IF ANYONE KNEW IF THE MILES WERE 61K OR 161K, UT THE PEDALS ON THE BRAKE, -BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL HAVE VERY LITTLE WEAR ALONG WITH THE FLOOR MAT AND OTHER AREAS THAT USUALLY WEAR OUT ARE VERY CLEAN AND INTACT, O YOU WILL HAVE TO USE YOUR OWN JUDGMENT AS WE DID AND IT DIDN'T REALLY MATTER TO US AS THIS CLASSIC BLUE OVAL IS IN AMAZING CONDITION FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.
WHEN THE SECOND OWNER TOOK OWNERSHIP FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER IT HAD STARTED SEEING LESS ROAD DUTY IN THE PAST FEW YEARS, O HE HAD THE TRUCK COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH MECHANICALLY TO MAKE IT DRIVER AND ROAD READY. ALL NEW BRAKES FRONT AND REAR TO INCLUDE ALL HARDWARE, UBBER LINES UP FRONT AND MASTER. THE FACTORY ORIGINAL 360 V8 MOTOR WAS COMPLETELY REBUILT TO ORIGINAL EXCEPT THE CARB WAS REPLACED WITH A LATE 70'S ELECTRIC CHOKE 2BBL FOR EASIER STARTS AND THE RADIATOR WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW UNIT TO KEEP THE NEW MOTOR CLEAN AND COOL. THE TRUCK ALSO RECEIVED NEW TIRES ON THE ORIGINAL WHEELS, FRESH TRANSMISSION SERVICE AND THEN FINALLY THE FACTORY SEAT WAS REDONE FOR INTERIOR IMPROVEMENT AND COMFORT. THIS TRUCK WAS A SENTIMENTAL VEHICLE AND ONCE THAT EMOTION PASSED WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET IT. WHEN WE FIRST GOT IT A LITTLE LESS THEN A YEAR AGO WE HAD THE PLANS TO MAKE IT OUR LOGO PIECE AND SHOP TRUCK BY LOWERING IT DOWN WITH 20" DETROIT STEEL WHEELS, UT ONCE WE GOT IT BACK AND SAW HOW WELL IT DROVE AND HOW THE INTERIOR STILL JUST GIVES YOU THE FEELING AND PRESENCE ON HOW THE OLD MAN DROVE IT AND LEFT IT WE JUST COULDN'T DO A THING TO IT EXCEPT DRIVE IT AND ENJOY IT. NOT ONLY COSMETICALLY DOES THIS TRUCK TELL A VISUAL STORY, UT INTERIOR IT HAS A GREAT CLASSIC FEELING AND PRESENCE OF A LOVING AND ORIGINAL OWNER. THE TRUCK STILL HAS THE OLD MANS OLD INSURANCE INFO AND OLD CALENDAR DECAL ON THE SUN-VISORS AND THE CLASSIC CB RADIO INSTALLED WITH HANDLE IN THE GLOVE BOX THE WE JUST HAD TO LEAVE IN PLACE AS HE DID WHEN HE PARTED WITH HIS LOVED TRUCK. PLEASE THOROUGHLY LOOK THROUGH THE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS AS IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND A TRUCK WITH THIS CLASS OF CHARACTER AND ORIGINAL CONDITION. BODY-THE BODYON THIS TRUCK IS TRULY WHATDREW ME IN AND IS THE MOST INCREDIBLE PART OF THIS TRUCK. THE PAINT IS MOSTLY THE ORIGINAL AND HAS ALL THE RIGHT LOOK AND AGE MOST OF US ARE LOOKING FOR ON A SURVIVOR TO DRIVE AS IS OR TO CUSTOMIZE INTO THAT DROPPED SHOP TRUCK BUILD. IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL EQUALLY AGED PAINT THAT STILL HAS A GREAT HIGH GLOSS AND SMOOTH FINISH. VERY SOLID BODY WITH NO MAJOR RUST, ENTS OR DINGS ON THE BODY. ONE OF THE SHOCKERS WAS THE PANEL GAPS AND DOOR FITMENT AND IS HOW NICE AND BARLEY USED THE TAILGATE IS THAT SHUTS AND CLOSES WITH EASE. THE AGED PAINT, REAT GLOSS FINISH THAT ORIGINAL LACQUER PAINT HAS LOOK COMBINED WITH THAT PERFECT PATINA PAINT WEAR ON THE HOOD, LONG THE SIDES AND ORIGINAL PAINTED FORD SCRIPT ON THE BACK LOOKS KILLER WITH ORIGINAL SEAPINE GREEN METALLIC AND WINTER GREEN CAB TOP AND LOWER BODY PAINT. ALL GLASS IS ORIGINAL AND THE FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS BEEN REPLACED AT ONE POINT AND HAS NO CRACKS OR CHIPS. THIS F100 WAS FULLY OPTIONED FROM THE FACTORY WITH SPORT CUSTOM DELUXE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR TRIM PKG. THIS TRUCK IS ALL ORIGINAL PAINT FROM THE DOORS BACK, LONG WITH THE LOWER LIGHT GREEN ON DRIVER FENDER AND ON VALANCE BELOW GRILLE AND BEHIND BUMPER. THE ONLY AREAS THAT HAVE BEEN REPAINTED IS THE PASSENGER FENDER HAS BEEN REPLACED THEN THE HOOD AND TOP OF DRIVER FENDER WERE BLENDED. THIS WAS DONE A LONG TIME AGO AND HAS AGED THE SAME OF THE REST OF THE TRUCK EXCEPT THE PASSENGER FENDER HAS A FEW CHIPS SHOWING RED UNDERNEATH AND THE SEAPINE GREEN METALLIC ON TOP OF DRIVER FENDER IS SLIGHTLY FADED LIGHTER AT THE FRONT TIP THEN THE REST OF THE TRUCK. THIS IS NOT A 100% RUST FREE, UT I WOULD SAY ITS A GOOD 85+% RUST FREE AND IN THE USUALLY SPOTS OF THE 67-72 TRUCKS. SOME OF THE USUAL HIGH RUST AREAS IN THIS TRUCK ARE IN EXCELLENT RUST FREE SHAPE SUCH AS THE TOP OF THE ROCKERS, OTTOM OF DOORS, ODY MOUNTS, OWL, AB TOP, IREWALL, NDERSIDE OF ROCKERS AND CAB CORNERS. THE BEST PART IS NONE OF THE RUST IS A DIRE NEED AND MOST OF THE RUST CAN BE ADDRESSED WITHOUT DISTURBING THE OUTSIDE ALONG WITH THE LOOK THE TRUCK HAS. AS SEEN IN THE PICS AND VIDEO THERE IS A LITTLE IN THE FRONT OF THE DRIVER INNER FENDER, OME ON THE UNDER OUTER EDGES OF THE HOOD, MALL SPOT STARTING AT THE PANEL OVER LAP ON BOTH SIDES OF CAB FLOORS, MALL HOLE ON DRIVER FLOOR AND BOTTOM BACK EDGE OF OF CAB. THE BED SIDES HAVE SOME SMALL BUBBLING AT THE TOP FRONT NEAR THE SEAM SEALER AT THE BODY LINE WHERE THE BED SIDES MEET THE FRONT BULK HEAD. THE FLOOR IN THE BED LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REPAIRED YEARS AGO ALONG WITH UNDER THE BATTERY. OTHER THEN THAT ANYTHING ELSE IS REALLY JUST SURFACE RUST OR WHERE PAINT HAS BEEN WORN AWAY THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. IT IS ONE THING TO HAVE AGE AND PATINA, UT TO HAVE THE APPEALING LOOKING PATINA IN ALL THE RIGHT SPOTS LIKE THIS TRUCK IS HARD TO FIND AND IT IS TRULY A ONE OF A KIND TRUCK! THIS CLASSIC IS ARROW STRAIGHT, UT CLEARLY SHOWS AGE WITH 43 YEAR OLD WEAR ON THE BUMPERS, RIM, IGHTS, AINT WEAR WITH FADING, HIPS AND LITTLE SURFACE SCRATCHES, UT TO ME THAT ADDS THE DESIRE AND VALUE OF THIS TRUCK. INTERIOR- INSIDE IT IS ALL INTACT AND ORIGINAL EXCEPT THE CB AND NEW UPHOLSTERY ON THE SEAT. THE ORIGINAL RUBBER FLOOR IS IN PERFECT SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS, OLES OR WEAR MARKS AND WITH VERY LITTLE WEAR ON THE PEDALS! THE DASH IS NEAR MINT WITH NO CRACKS ON THE TOP DASH PAD, HE METAL PART OF DASH STILL HAS NICE FACTORY SHINY PAINTALONG WITH CHROME, HE STEREO STILL LIGHTS UP AND MAKES NOISE AND ALL GAUGES WORK. THE DOOR PANELS ARE FREE OF ANY SUN FADING, RACKS OR CHIPS IN THE VINYL AND ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. THE DOORS POP RIGHT OPEN WITH EASEAND SHUT LIKE NEW WITH ONE SOLID SOUND AND NOSAGGING. SIDE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN AND WING WINDOWS LOCK AND MOVE FREELY, UT DO MAKE A LITTLE WIND NOISE. THEORIGINAL HEADLINER AND SUN VISORS ARE PERFECT, OVE FREELY AND STAY UP AMAZINGLY. THE DRIVER ARM REST IS WORN OUT AND COULD USE A REPLACEMENT ALONG WITH THE KNOB ON THE WINDOW CRAN, UT BOTH A A PRETTY EASY AND CHEAP FIND. OVERALL IT SHOWS SOME SLIGHT AGE AND WEAR, UT FOR 43 YEARS OLD SHE'S GREAT DRIVERS QUALITY THAT HAS HELD UP AND LOOKS GREAT!
MECHANICAL- THIS OLD CSHORTBOX IS VERY TIGHT AND SOLID MECHANICALLY ANDIS A VERY STRONG AND SMOOTH RUNNER WITH NO HESITATION, NOCKING, MOKING, EAKS OR ISSUES. IT DRIVES AND STOPS NICE STRAIGHT AND TIGHT JUST AS IT SHOULD FOR A 72. IT HAS THE FACTORY 360 V8, -SPEED AUTOMATIC, OWER STEERING THAT IS VERY TIGHT AND EASY TO DRIVE AND MANUAL DRUM BRAKES. ALWAYS FIRES RIGHT UP RUNS SMOOTH AND IS A EASE TO DRIVE ON COUNTRY ROADS OR AT HWY SPEEDS. THIS TRUCK IS VERY CLEAN UNDER THE HOOD AND DECENTLY CLEAN AND HONEST UNDER THE BODY FOR ITS 4+ DECADES OF AGE SHOWING THE CARE IT HAS RECEIVED ALONG WITH ALL THE WORK RECENTLY PERFORMED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. AS MENTIONED ABOVE HE HAD THE MOTOR AND EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD GONE THROUGH, RANS SERVICED, HE BRAKES GONE THROUGH, ADIATOR REPLACED AND THE WHITE WALL TIRES PUT ON.
