1938 Ford Deluxe Phaéton Model 81A.L-head V-8 engine, 0 HP three-speed manual transmission, olid front axle and live rear axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf springs, nd four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. Wheelbase is 112". The car is immaculate throughout. All body contours are correct, oor gaps are even, nd the doors shut well. Painted in a beautiful merlot burgundy, he car exhibits a deep shine, ccented by excellent chrome. The accessory door hinge mirrors and wind wings contribute to the beauty of this car. The interior is tan/brown in color with matching door panels and black rubber front floor mats. A grey-tan canvas top nicely completes the motif, nd matching side curtains and canvas top boot are also included with the car.
This car has been converted to a 12 Volt system for easy of starting and running. It does come with the original 6 Volt generator. Gas tank has been replaced. No dings, ents or rust with a razor sharp straight body. This 1938 Deluxe Phaeton is one of 1,169 built that year, he rarest of that year's body styles and was the last year for no pillars between the doors. A true classic that if you wanted to you could Hot Rod or Rat Rod!
The engine compartment and undercarriage are exceedingly clean and properly detailed. The wheels are fitted with Ford-script 6.00x16 double whitewall tires.
