Description for Ford Mustang 1973

Up for auction is my '73 Mach I. I purchased it 3 years ago but haven't had much time to enjoy it, nd am selling to fund other projects.

This is a very clean, riginal car. The previous owner bought it in 1976 when he was in high school. The first owner drove the car sparingly but did some street racing. At some point he converted the car from auto to 4 speed, dded 4 barrel heads, orker intake, rower cam and headers. Battery was moved to the trunk. There's also a 4.56, 8 spline traction-lok differential. The transmission is an RUG-AZ big in/out toploader for 428cj/boss 429 cars, ith a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. He also stuck on a set of factory Boss 351 decals. The Mach I stripes are original and correct for the car.

It was in storage for from the 80's until around 2010 and has a new gas tank, uel hoses, uel pump, nd rebuilt carb. Tires are several years old but have good tread. Wheels are original 15x7 Magnum 500 with satin center spokes.

The engine runs strong and pulls hard. It has a lopey idle but runs fine on pump gas. Having had a few 351C cars, 'd say its about the same as a Q-code car with headers. It does have some blow-by if you disconnect the PCV valve but doesn't smoke from the tailpipes or anything like that.

Paint is original with some small defects that are visible in photos - scratch in right front wheel arch, cratch on driver door handle, mall ding on left quarter. There is a small rust spot on the right rear quarter, therwise the body is solid with no signs of rust repair. It was ziebarted in the 70's which preserved the car very well. Previous owner said the left rear quarter was resprayed in the 70's and I have a small can of the original paint that was used back then.

Interior is a mix of ginger and tan, hich is how I found the car. Deluxe door panels are in excellent shape, eats are good with a small tear in the driver side. Carpet is a 70's replacement. Good headliner and dash pad. Missing the rear package tray. Center gauges, as gauge and dash lights do not work. I removed the incorrect 80's radio and have a correct AM radio to replace it.

Odometer shows 40,800 miles, ut the speedo cable burnt against the headers and the gauge hasn't worked since I've owned the car. However its clearly a low mileage car and everything feels right - doors shut great, teering is tight, tc.

Reserve is in the low teens. (I have a small loan on the car and the buyer will receive the title directly from my credit union. I can put you in touch with the loan officer if you have any questions). I will post the Marti report as well.

Car is located on the east side of Cincinnati, hio, ip 45206. Questions welcome. Feel free to email to schedule an inspection.
