For sale is a Numbers Matching 1966 Ford Galaxie LTD coupe w/ 390 FE v8 w/ C6 auto trans.
This is a numbers matching all original car. Runs/ Drives excellent.I used this as my daily driver throughout the summer, nd am still driving it daily.
NO RESERVE AUCTIONNeeds Nothing to be driven as is.Very solid.NO frame/ floor rust.no patch panels anywhere.
Factory 390FE w/ 2bbl Autolite carb. Factory A/C car. Trans shifts smooth.Glass is perfect. Interior is overall in very nice shape. Front split bench has sun fading and 2 seam tears(see pics). Headliner is very good w/ only some visible glue on the front seam by the windshield(see pics). Dash has cracking and was repainted and covered by the previous owner.
Body is amazing. rear fender well lips had minor surface corrosion and have been cleaned and primed, his is the only visible exterior rust anywhere(see pics)previous owner had some stickers on the passenger rear quarter that when removed chipped the paint on 3 quarter size spots.
Brand New front upper balljoints and shocks, ew full dual exhaust w/ glass packs and New brakes/ tires all the way around. Tires have less than 1500miles on them.Old style Turbine 15" wheels.
Truck has a 3 small rust through spots smaller than the size of a dime buy the rubber drain plug holes.floor plugs will need replaced as they are not present.Comes w/ matching turbine spare wheel w/ tire and factory hold down and bumper jack.
New tune up w/ plugs/ wires and distributor cap.Does Not leak any oil or trans fluid, hough there is moisture present on the pans. Autolite carbs factory auto choke has been converted to manual choke.
Has Aftermarket Sun Tachometer and temp gauge.
This is a factory manual brakes car w/ power-steering and factory a/c. was originally a southern car and the heater core has been disconnected but all provisions are there to hook back up and comes w/ brand new in the box core.Does have a small driver side exhaust manifold gasket leak( barely noticeable at idle.
Overall this is an excellent car and I wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere.It sounds great and runs even better.I was told by the previous owner that it is original miles at 17989, am unable to confirm this but by how nice of condition the seats/ carpet interior are in it may be true.
