Description for Ford Galaxie 1960
Car was running and driving when I bought it. Motor was rebuilt and ready for restoration when I bought it. It has been in the garage and I have been collecting parts but now my wife passed away and I need the garageempty to sell houseso car and parts are for sale. Car has some rust as pictures show but for this 55yr old Ford it is pretty solid. I see people start with some real basket cases. Some parts are N.O.S. as you can see by the boxes and some I picked up at swap meets. I'm not sure about all thepeices for thecontinental kit as I know the pans had some strips as I can see the marks and mounting holes. Tires were new and have had no miles on them but I am looking for the hub caps. Needs complete interior but spring units look fine.Car will be sold as my starting price is very low for this vintage convertible and I have no reserve. I will add comments and pictures when I return from Mexico. Thanks for looking. WayneOn Nov-05-15 at 12:13:15 PST, eller added the following information:
The car floor boards are blue with mostly surface rust. The trunk floor is good in the main but has small rust in corners where inner fenders meet trunk floor. the main rust is in the rockers panels. Seems very solid for a 55yr old FORD!!!!!!!!!! I have found another NOS passengerside lowerrear fender aluminum trim. I wanted to put some gas in carb and get it running butdiscovered the keys must have been left up at the cabin where it was stored for the las 20yrs or more. I will try to find them as soon as I get back from hunting.
The bumpers that I bought with new plating on them many years ago now have slight pitting and will have to be rechromed to be perfect but will make great cores.
You do not see many of this modelaround so this will make a real attention getter when restored like I wanted it to be.
It can be picked up any time after 9th of Nov. when I return from hunting. I will be going to Az at end of Dec, o must be picked up by then.
Thanks: Wayne
