Here is my 1968 Ford Galaxie 500. Below are a few details about it but feel free tomessage mewith more. I also have a few pictures posted.
Motor - It has the original 302. Car has 72,000 on the odometer, r pretty close to that anyway. Motor runs strong and has no issues. I have a mechanic go thru it every year and change out anything needed. So far I have done the following modifications. New aluminum radiator and chrome shroud. All new belts and hoses, ll motorcraft. New plugs and wires. All new gaskets. All new fluids and filters. New headman headers with flowmaster exhaust. Sounds like it has 400 horsepower but it doesn't. Has an automatic c4 transmission. I changed from column shifter to floor shifter because I liked the look better. The car is solid. I drive this car from Natchitoches to Biloxi every year for Cruisin the coast at 75 mph and no issues.
Paint and Body - The car is free from rust. Underneath the car looks awesome. The car has single stage paint (meaning it has no clear coat). I pay a body shop $150 to buff it out about every 18 months and it shines like new. The only real issue with the body is at some point there was some damage to the passenger side door and it was bondo and painted. Looks fine but I can tell. A little work to it and it will be fine. I have all the paint from when it was painted. Orange body, rey two tone, nd black racing stripes. Regardless it is not show level but it gets a ton of attention.
Tires/wheels - brand new 20 inch wheel and tires.
Interior - Custom vinyl seats. Black with orange trim to match paint. All new black carpet. New seatbelts. I have a decent sound system. 2 6x9, 6", nd 2 10". Speakers are orange and black to match paint as well.
I can answer any more questions or refer you to the mechanic that has done all the work if need be. I really don't want to sell the car but I fell in love with a mustang and the wife says I cant have 2. So I guess I will trade as well if you have mustang.
You will see from the pictures that it isn't a show car and it isn't a race car. But the car looks and drives awesome, nd most importantly dependable. I have really enjoyed it.
