1949 FORD F5 COE (cab over engine) PROJECT FOR SALEI bought this truck a couple months ago in the hope of building a cool car hauler for my toys. I have realized that I have way too many projects already and something has to go. This is a 1949 Ford F5 COE cab on a 1985 Chevrolet (step van) P30 dually chassis. It was an old Frito-Lay truck and has a 454 cu in big block chevy engine and automatic transmission. The box was cut down to make a pickup style bed. It is all aluminum and is approx. 6. 5 X 9 feet. The cab has the usual rust issues of an old truck but is in reasonably good condition for its age. It is not all dented up like most. New cab corners are included as well as many extra parts. It will require considerable finishing including steering. brakes and electrical. I have a clear Texas title listed as a 49 Ford TruckThe truck is also listed for sale locally.
