Description for Ford F-250 1965
Truck is very close to being a solid driver. Body is very straight and is rust free with the exception of some surface rust. Two 2 inch spots in the rear bed near the wheel wells that is actually rusted through. That is the only place there is more than surface rust that I am aware of. Previous owner dented in the trim holes to create a smoothed look and never finished. One hood hinge is bent and caused some damage to hood. Conversion from column shift to floor shift but needs floor shifter. Truck has power steering and power brakes. Power steering has a leak. Not sure if it is the pump or gear box. Previous owner had a cheap enamel paint job done at Maaco and it has started to peel off at sections. Original color is Rangoon Red and Wimbledon White. The hood peel is what revealed the two tone paint and the badge confirmed that it is an original two tone truck. Motor runs very strong but needs a carb rebuild. Has the original 2bbl. Just drove it 60 miles round trip on interstate. Doors shut very solid and floor or body has no rust other than surface rust. Missing rear bumper and truck gate does not unlatch. I believe it is from a later model truck. New starter. Has MSD ignition upgrade. Interior is solid. Not perfect. but nothing that has to be addressed immediately. Bench was redone at some point. No radio. Heater fan blows but not hot. Wipers. lights and turn signals all work. With a repaint. carb rebuild. new hood hinge. floor shifter and PS leak fix and you would have a very solid driver without major dollars invested.
