Description for Ford Model A 1930
NOTICE: I've added higher resolution pictures this morning. be sure to go back and look if your a watcher. ALSO: This item is being re-listed due to a non paying bidder. It was on ebay a month or so ago and now it is being re-listed. Up for bids is a 1930 Ford model A Tudor sedan. It is an older restoration. The paint is scratched here and there. it has a few dents. the transmission leaks. the speedometer doesn't work. The dark brown paint has good gloss overall but there are scratches and scuffs. dents and dings. The black paint on the fenders is cracked in places. not from bondo but it looks like too much hardener in the paint. It smokes on startup but completely disappears after about 30 seconds. It uses no oil. Now for the good- It starts right up with absolutely no hesitation and runs and idles smooth as silk. No knocking. no rattling. It drives down the road just as an 84 year old car should. We have driven this car nearly every weekend for the past 2 years. sometimes even at night. Tires are all in great shape and all match. The seats are the correct mohair and the interior looks great. The headlights work. the parking lights work. and the brake and tail light works. Even the dash courtesy light works. The brakes have been converted to hydraulic at one point and the booster is mounted underneath the car to maintain a stock appearance. The charging system works just as it should. and it has been converted to a 6 volt alternator since these pictures were taken. I bought this car out of a sealed garage a few years ago from the son of the gentleman whom has owned it since the late 70s. It had been sitting still for nearly 10 years. I added several parts to get it back in running order such as points. condenser. plug straps. new 6 volt battery and cables. 6 volt alternator conversion. wiring junction box. stainless steel tail light. and a safety main power switch. I've had fun with this car for a few years now and I'm ready to let it go as im working on an Impala project. I have a clear title in hand. I will say that the Tennessee license plate on the rear is NOT included in the auction. Car needs to be paid for within 1 week of auctions end and arrangements need to be made within 2 weeks to pick it up. I WILL NOT sell outside of the U. S. The only payment methods I accept are PayPal deposit and the rest should be cash in person. I will not give out my banking information under any circumstance. I encourage you to view the car anytime you like at my shop. just drop me an email. And ask any questions you may have PRIOR to bidding. I've tried to list everything I can think of honestly. but please ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
