Description for Ford Mustang 1966
1966 Mustang Fastback GT350H Replica
Vin # 6R09A220469
I have owned this car for a little over three years. This Mustang was built in the San Jose, a. plant as an A coded car originally and has spent most of its life in California.
One of the most striking features of this Mustang is that it retains almost all of its original sheet metal even floor pans. The hood is a Shelby fiberglass hood. The car had a complete bare metal repaint (about $7,000) in February of 2015.
The car runs a 9 inch Ford posi traction 3:25 rear end. The car also has Classic Air and Heat, new gas tank, runk mat and a console. The car has a 4 speed top loader with a Hurst competition shifter, enter Force clutch, obra scatter shield and a Gear Vendors electronic overdrive. With the overdrive engaged, he car cruises at 70 mph just below 3,000 RPMs all day long and get about 15 miles per gallon on a 650 Holley double pumper carb. The car has been rewired with new wiring and a new fuse box from Ron Francis. I also replaced the existing distributor with a new one and put on a new Holley 650 double pumper with a new Edlebrock intake manifold.
The car has a professionally built 302 Mexican block rated at 450 H.P. with Keith Black pistons, FS aluminum heads, nd Manley rods. It is a very strong running low mileage engine.
Within the last thirty days the car has had a complete tune up, il and filter change and all major engine seals replaced including intake manifold gasket, xhaust manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets. This car is not a trailer queen. I have driven it to Texas and back to Baltimore, aryland on two occasions. This car is reliable and road ready. It needs nothing; it is ready to drive and enjoy. I have complete books and records of all work performed since I have owned the car. Also copies of the titles of the last two owners before me.
