Description for Ford Other 1973

Rare. collectible from Arizona so it is not rusted out like most of the few remaining comparables. Would make a great car-show wagon. This wagon was owned and babied by a man in Arizona who suffered a stroke. I was told by his step daughter that AMCO rebuilt the transmission 20k miles ago and a professional rebuilt the engine. We were told by the family that it has a 460 rebuilt engine with an unleaded conversion but the air cleaner has a 400 decal indicating a 400 cu in motor . Clean title. Trailer hitch. It is currently at a friend's house in Arizona who drove it to the car wash and said it rides like a gun ship. His neighbors said they were reminded of the wagon in National Lampoon Vacation. Buy it in time for the holidays or I will ship it to my mechanic in West Jordan. Utah where he'll inspect it in great detail. I wish I could tell you more about it but I haven't seen it myself. I too am amazed by the pictures. Having watched eBay for several years looking for Ford LTD. Gran Torino and Squire wagons between 1972 and 1978. I've only seen one other that appeared rust free from Arizona in such good visible shape. You must pay for transporting it after you buy it. Update 12/14/2014 from my friend in Arizona storing the wagon:"There is no third seat. There is a type of “cargo hold” under the floor in the rear of the car. I started looking through the 3 inches of receipts and invoices for work on the car. I didn’t see anything about the motor rebuild but that doesn’t mean its not there. I just didn’t want to sift through that stack page by page. Some of the receipts indicated that both rear quarter panels were repaired and repainted but the whole bill is $200. 00 so it can’t have been much that was done. I can see some traces of rust on the passenger side front fender in the engine compartment. I know the car was in Canada for some time but you said the car had been in Arizona for the last 15 years. That would make sense. The fender wells and overall condition looks like it was well cared for and maintained. Anyone who keeps all those receipts is the kind of person who fixes everything and takes care of their vehicle. I think the people who sold it to you were honest and gave you a pretty accurate picture of what you were buying. "Update 12/26/2014Due to Christmas and high interest in this station wagon. I'm extending this sale to Sunday night. Plus I discounted it $350 to save you on transport fees.
