Description for Ford Thunderbird 1994
Up for sale is my 1994 Ford Thunderbird SC. This car is 1 of 750 built in 1994 with the 5-speed manual transmission. The car has approximately 132. 00 miles on it (the odometer is broken. as are virtually all T-bird SCs). This particular Thunderbird was a Tennessee car it's entire life until this past summer when I bought it and took it to Georgia. It has never seen road salt and is completely and unequivocally 100% rust free. The car was repainted by the previous owner a few years ago (it's always been black). The engine was replaced back in the mid-2000's due to a headgasket failure. The engine was replaced at a Ford dealer with a crate motor. Click here for a video of the car starting and idling. The car currently has a bad clutch slave cylinder and will have to be replaced before the car can be driven. The new owner will have to tow this car home. The 1994-1995 model years were the official send-off for the Super Coupe and included a revised and much improved dashboard. better supercharger. and freer flowing exhaust. These years also do NOT include the problematic ABS system that plagues the earlier SCs. The 1994-1995 engines also included internal improvements to improve efficiency and reliability. This car is a nearly completely stock example. and the only modifications it has were performed by the previous owner: 10% OD supercharger pulley. ASP Underdrive Pulley set and a 73mm MAF. The manual transmission Super Coupes came equipped with a limited-slip differential out of the box. I bought the car over the summer to have a project. but living in an apartment complex is not conducive to long-term car projects. I cannot keep the car here any longer. and I simply don't have the time for a second automotive endeavor. I spend a great deal of time away from home and this car should really go to someone who will give it the time and attention that it needs. I did do a great deal of work to the car so far:Brand new copper-core OEM radiator and thermostatBrand new Yokohama tiresBrand new upper and lower ball jointsBrand new upper control armsBrand new lower control armsBrand new inner tie rodsBrand new frame and lower control arm strut rod bushings (the correct hard rubber ones. RAMCOA)Brand new power steering pumpBrand new Autocraft Gold batteryBrand new ceramic brake pads and rotorsBrand new cam position sensorBrand new Gates S/C. jackshaft and serpentine beltsNew headlights with clear corners New Sony MEX-N5000BT headunit / receiver with Bluetooth and Aux-in (wired in correctly. still uses factory amplifier)Transmission fluid replaced with full synthetic GM SynchromeshThe AC works perfectly and is ice cold. The heater works great. The sunroof is factory installed and works 100%. The car is in good shape for being 20 years old. but it's not show worthy. The interior dash trim rattles some and the digital clock has become detached from the black trim. There is mild spiderwebbing in the front and rear bumper. both on the left side (it isn't even visible in the pictures). As stated previously. like all other SCs. the odometer is broken. The car could use all new radiator hoses. and I actually have all three sitting in the trunk. they just need to be put on. This is how little time I have these days. The car does have a pronounced clunk in the front due to bad shocks and shock mounts. It drives and rides fine. but I would suggest that the new owner replace the shocks and mounts. I will also be including the Ford factory service manual along with the Vacuum and Electric systems supplement. This really is a great car and I hate to see it go. but I just don't have the bandwidth for it. It's a project for someone with more time than me. I was driving it on the weekends. but the clutch slave has put it up for now. I've tried to be as honest and thorough as possible in this listing. but if you have any questions. please don't hesitate to reach out to me. The car is currently located in Alpharetta. GA.
