Description for Ford Mustang 1964
With GREAT sorrow. It is time to part with this beauty. I call her "Virgin Sally". Untouched. unmolested. unrestored. I am the second owner but she was originally bought from Lynn Kirby Ford. Portland. Oregon in August 1964. The sales slip is signed by Lynn Kirby himself. {Lynn Kirby was the most renowned and Iconic Ford dealer in Oregon back in the day. } and was bought off the showroom floor. She is an EARLY addition 1964 1/2 ford mustang coupe. We confirmed this by the trunk mat {if you know your Mustangs. you know what I am talking about} and manufacture Date. She is powered by a smooth running {Number matching} 170 cid inline six cylinder. The previous owner added a "Thunderbolt ignition" which I guess most people did. other than that she is ALL original!!! The only thing that has been replaced is the muffler. tires. radiator and antenna. The radio even works {if only there were good AM stations in Portland}. Yes. that is the original paint and interior. She even has the original can of touch up paint in the glove box. I have never lifted up the back seat to see if her original build sheet is there. but I bet ya it is. The generator was "rebuilt" and not replaced. She has little digs and dents but that just shows her character and makes her a true SURVIVOR CAR. She also has an extra pair of "spinner" hubcaps. And some extra trinkets that came in her jewelry box. She holds "TWO" world records in the "Guinness Book of World Records". { Most MUSTANGS in a Parade and the most FORDS in a parade. } She placed third in the Northwest All Ford Car Show in 2010.
