Description for Ford Mustang 1970
Just when you thought all the affordable Mustangs were gone, his 1970 coupe shows up with potent V8 power and a great high-performance look. With the fastbacks getting all the coverage, his coupe will stand out at any show and still offers the same great driving experience that all vintage Mustangs deliver.Dark colors always look good on a Mustang, nd with a repaint just a few years ago, his one has a lot of style. The coupe neatly blends the aggressiveness of the fastback with a more conservative look, reating a car that looks fast but fits in anywhere. Paint and bodywork are good, nd this has never been a rusty car, o the sheetmetal is straight and it has a nice shine. Gaps are good, anel alignment is straight, nd it's clear someone took their time putting it together. They didn't bother with fake scoops and wings, ot even a set of stripes, nd a lot of Mustang enthusiasts will argue that the front-end of the 1970 models was the best ever fitted to Ford's pony car. It's got a clean, mooth look that's very appealing. Chrome trim is a combination of excellent original stuff and restored items, dding just enough flash to retain the 1960s look. The interior is mostly stock with a few upgrades that make it a lot of fun to drive. The high-back buckets wear what might very well be the original blue vinyl seat covers, nd it looks quite upscale inside. The door panels are also probably original, s is the center console. The factory gauges in their deeply inset panel are all fully functional and are visible through the spokes of a custom steering wheel with a matching blue rim. The original radio is gone, eplaced by an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit fits in the original radio's slot without modifications, nd new Mustang-logo floor mats have been installed to protect the carpets. You'll note that this car came equipped with factory A/C, hich is all new and uses R-134a refrigerant. The engine is a 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8. Originally fitted with a 2-barrel carburetor and rated at 250 horsepower, t's significantly more muscular today thanks to an Edelbrock intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor, nd a Comp Cam. A big Edelbrock air cleaner announces the upgrades pretty clearly, ut things like the valve covers are traditional Ford Blue so it should look familiar enough. It's linked to a FMX 3-speed automatic and a rock-solid 9-inch rear with easy-cruising 3.00 gears inside. Looking around underneath, ou'll see newly-installed floor pans that shore up the foundation of the car and new shocks out at the corners. Long-tube headers and Thrust mufflers give it a snarling, ackling exhaust note that's definitely going to generate attention, nd those aluminum wheels wearing white-letter radials look great. Significantly more muscular than stock yet very reasonably priced, his over-achieving small-block coupe delivers big thrills when you're behind the wheel. Call today!
