Description for Ford F-100 1956
Up for auction is a 1956 Ford F-100 short bed project truck. I purchased this truck from the estate of the original owner which makes me only the 2nd owner of the truck since it was new. The truck had been sitting in a barn since 1978 when I purchased it about 2 years ago. The original engine was locked up so I removed it and replaced it with a strong running big block 460 Ford engine and C6 automatic transmission that I removed from a 1977 Ford F-150. I have spent thousands of dollars in new parts for the truck. The list of new parts includes chrome front and rear bumpers, snugger rear bumper brackets, running boards, inner fenders, radiator core support, air deflectors, lower front valance, front hood emblem, side hood emblems, taillight assemblies, front parking light assemblies, aluminum radiator, bolt in 460/C6 swap crossmembers and mounts as well as stainless steel fasteners for all of the front sheet metal. I have an extra drivers side rear fender for the truck (no spare tire indent) in case someone prefers the no spare tire look. The original grill is included and has been painted as well but I was going to run a chrome one instead, so I never mounted it back on the truck. The engine is equipped with a small cam, an Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake and chrome Edelbrock valve covers. The engine/transmission is only sitting in the frame and will need the installation completed such as exhaust, wiring, etc. The interior of the truck is all original but does need work as can be seen in the pics. The body of the truck is in really good condition, but the cab itself does have some rust but it is not as bad as many of the others I have seen. The truck has been sanded down and painted Hot Rod satin black. I have done absolutely no bodywork at all to this truck. There is no bondo/body filler hiding anything. I didn't even wash the truck (it is very dusty) or polish the chrome before I took the pictures. What you see is what you get. The truck has a clear Oklahoma title in my name and the tags are current. I am taking a big loss on what I have invested in this truck but I need the shop space and could use the money to finish up another project. You are more than welcome to come inspect the truck prior to bidding. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due by PayPal immediately after auction end with the balance due by cash/cashiers check within 7 days of auction end. I will not release the truck or title until all funds have cleared my bank (5-7 days for cashiers check). The truck is located at my shop in Ardmore, OK. The winning bidder is responsible for picking up the vehicle within 14 days of auction end unless other arrangements are made prior to sale.
No bidders with less than 10+ positive feedback without contacting me first or I will cancel the bid and block you from the auction. I hate to have to be like this but listing vehicles on eBay is expensive and too many people like to play games and bid on items they either can't afford or have no intention of paying for if they win.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will answer them as quickly as possible. Thank you for looking at my listing and good luck to you!
