Description for Ford E-Series Van 1963
I am willing to trade for a project 1965 1966 1967 1968 Mustang fastback - any condition.
Bonafide Southern Barn Find from Virginia – sitting in barn since 1985 - Very Solid!
Selling my 1963 Ford Econoline van project. I started out strong on this van, but was lured away by another project. So, somewhat regrettably I'm selling this beauty. I fully expected to finish it, but something completely different popped up.
I'm only showing the partial vin - buyer gets the complete vin, no-one else.
FIVE DAY AUCTION! Ends March 29 @ 11:20 PM EST so don't miss out!
Ohio title in my name.
The title to this 1963 Econoline does not appear to be original to THIS 1963 Econoline. The Ford vin plate on this Econoline matches the title, but the vin plate doesn't look like other Econoline vin plates that I have seen. I have another vin plate with all of this Econoline's engine/trans/rear/etc data - that I found inside this van.
If this is all too confusing or perplexing to you then this van isn't for you.
It wasn't a concern (or perplexing) for me, so I got a new title in my name. I'll have no problem putting Ohio plates on this Econoline and driving it (once the project was completed). I've just lost interest!
COMES WITH OHIO TITLE IN MY NAME!
However, if it doesn't sell at this low price I'll keep it and get it running, then maybe repost it at the end of the year for a higher price.
Here's what you get with this 1963 Econoline van:
Two fairly nice VW beetle seats. Both are passenger seats.
A replacement, strong, low mileage on rebuild, 200 cid 6 cylinder engine from a 1967 Ford Fairlane already installed.
A whole bunch of brand new parts that I bought and haven't installed:
-One new front wheel drum
-New brake shoes for all 4 wheels
-Complete new brake line set
-All 3 new brake hoses
-Brake master cylinder rebuild kit
-New brake cylinders for all 4 wheels
-Replacement heavy duty universal ignition switch
- New brake light lenses with gaskets
- New front yellow marker lights with gaskets
Stuff I did install:
-Low mileage, strong running 200 cid 6 cylinder engine
- New clutch
-New pressure plate
-New throw out bearing
-New motor mounts
-Rebuilt carburetor
-New fuel filter
-Modified a Fairlane 6 cylinder radiator to fit
-New hoses
-New belt
-Modified and installed a brand new 1965 Mustang 16 gallon fuel
tank, lined it inside with Red-Kote Fuel Tank Liner (works
great), replaced ALL fuel hoses with alcohol resistant rubber
hoses.
-Cleaned out rear diff, new gasket applied, new gear oil.
-New gear oil in trans
-New 10W-30 oil and Fram filter for engine.
Work needed: (LOOK AT THE PHOTOS!)
-Front floor work
-Some body work – again, look at the photos. Better yet, come
INSPECT!
-I'm not sure of the condition of the heater box – never tried it.
-Hook up all the linkage
-Start the engine – I know it runs, but I'm seriously done working
on it. I don't care if it means I make less money on the sale if
the engine isn't running right NOW for the auction. It will run.
Check my feedback as far back as you like, I'm legit.
-Remove what's left of that awful carpet that's still inside. I
removed nine-tenths of what was in it and I'm done - it's yours
now to clean out the rest. Well, eventually, if you win the
auction.
-Replace cracked windshield or leave it as is. I received
windshield quotes from $142 to $219.
-Fix the door latching mechanisms – they close and latch, but
one or two are stubborn to open.
-Electrical work??? Install ignition switch, voltage regulator,
heater and I'm sure other work.
Problems I know of:
-Ignition and door locks – no keys! I have included a
replacement universal ignition switch with key.
-Steering wheel/horn work – some parts missing.
- No rear bumper - it was trashed so I tossed it.
NOTE: These tires and wheels do not convey with the Econoline. The buyer will get roller tires with wheels – not the wheels and tires shown. These wheels and tires are off my finished car and are just on here to show you how cool this van is.
There's probably more to say, but look CLOSELY at the photos, ask questions and come INSPECT! I have nothing to hide.
Buyer pays $500 via PayPal down payment immediately at auction end. The balance is due within 7 days of auction end. If you decide to pick up the van later than 7 days after the auction, the buyer must still pay in full within 7 days, not in 10 days, 2 weeks or whenever you pick it up.
This van can't currently be driven home – you need to trailer it.
Do not come here and attempt to re-negotiate the price after the auction. Yes, I've had people ask me for $100 gas money home, another was very happy and satisfied with the hot rod that he was high bidder on, then asked if I'd take $300 less. So, please have some class and integrity. Don't ask to pay less and I won't walk away from the deal. I'd never even think to ask someone to pay more than their hi-bid, but some folks just have no shame and will ask for some kind of rebate even though they have always been extremely pleased with their purchase. Amazing planet.
IMPORTANT: VAN CANNOT BE PICKED UP DURING THE PERIOD APRIL 4 to MAY 5
No warranty, no guarantees. Buyer beware.
