Description for Ford Model T 1926
I just might have the car you have been looking for! It is a beautifully restored 1926 Model T Improved Tudor Sedan. Less than 500 miles since a complete older restoration in the late 90’s. I have performed a lot of TLC on it because I expected to keep this car for the rest of my life. Unfortunately. with finances and a wife with a serious illness I must part ways with it. It has the correct LeBaron-Bonny interior grey with fine green stripe with no tears or marks Correct Hartford Green Paint is very presentable for it’s age with some chips and scratches from over-excited grandkids. This Tudor had a total frame off restoration with all-steel body (no rust). Every nut. bolt and wear part was replaced. The original engine and transmission were rebuilt as well as. the rear end. rear axles. with new wheel bearings and seals. glass. long-grained vinyl top. Within the last year. I replaced all the wiring with a new set from Rhode Island Wiring. It is modern wiring with the original appearance and color. I also added a brake light. brake light switch. and a hidden circuit breaker to remain authentic looking. but protect the car from a wiring fire. I just rebuilt the original NH Holley carburetor. When the car was restored. it was converted to 12 volts. It has a 12 volt ammeter. I also added a new Delco 12 volt starter that is installed in the original T starter case. It has halogen bulbs that make the car very visible especially the tail/brake light. I just finished installing new lifetime Kevlar transmission bands and new original style clutch plates. When I dropped the oil pan. there was absolutely no crud or metal The oil was clean. I installed a magnetic oil drain plug. Engine and frame numbers match. It has a rare. period correct. gasoline accessory gauge under the dash. just in front of the passenger door. It has never failed to start instantly in any temperature. and runs equally well on BAT or MAG. I goes faster than I would every drive it. and I can skid the rear wheels to a stop. As you can see in the pictures. the tires are good. It runs just like God and Henry intended it to. To my knowledge. This car has never been in a car show. With a little TLC she could be a top show winner. or enjoy her as a stunning touring car. I have in hand a clear Pennsylvania title in my name. The car is currently registered and insured. I hope you like it. I promised the T. I would find a good home for her (with kids if possible). I have priced the car to SELL. so bid to BUY!This is an almost 90 year old car. It is sold as is where is with no warranty written or implied. The sale is final with no return. I encourage you inspect the car. $1000 non-refundable deposit by Paypal in 24 hours of the sale. Balance in cash with 10 days. Delivery is the sole responsibilty of the buyer.
