Description for Ford Galaxie 1967
1967 Ford Galaxie 500 2 door Fastback Sport Coupe Barn find, beenstoredin myfather's dry barn for 25+ year, remarkably straight and complete body with rally type wheels in light fawn cream color with light tan interior. No major dents anywhere, one small dent behind left headlight (see Pics) a few dings at most. Runs and drives, started and moved around farm lane, 400 V-8 starts, runs and soundsgreat, body gaps are uniform and tigh, doors open and shut nicely and tightly, hood and trunk open and close nicely. Door glass works well (even the crank wing windows). Left rear quarter glass is sticky but moves with crank, I DONT WANT TO FORCE and BREAK IT. Right rear is missing the crank handle, so I cant try that one . A and B pillars appear solid top to botto, no rot around windshield or rear glass, hood and doors, trunk lips etc. minor rust along bottomof car, significant rust under deck lid but structurallysound and lidisrepairable, some rot in trunk area was previously addressed, sealed but needs to be corrected. Car has frame rust issues,a soft frame and previous frame reinforcing repair that was not my style that requires thorough review/attention .
Interior is 99% complete, most convenience features work.- the following seem to work with exception of a bulb or socket, switch and wiring is good for Headlights, parking and tail lights, turn signals. the interior glove box andtrunk light work!Windshield wipers and horn work. Heater Blower motor and windshield washer motor run.Seats are stained but may clean up, floors seem solid,( photos shot underneath but I haven't been under there, to investigatein detail, may need some work), carpet is dirty. Car has what is tagged to be a 1973 400 M V-8 witha 3 speed auto Cruise-O-Matic trans. The rear axle is an integral type Ford rear, ratio unknown
No title is available, the ad says rebuild-able titlebecause ebay ad programdid not provideme with an avenue tolist asNO title . Odometer reds18k, assumed to be 118k for purposes of advertising, actual mileage unknown. Note ; this car was purchased as is MANY years ago and putaway by my Father for future restoration project but now offered for sale.I will post any additional info orrevisionsas I get information. If you have any questions feel free to message. Ihave tons more pics, and watch for revisions if you're not following daily, as I learn something I will post it . This is a great car for frame off restoration, the body work is minimal for its age .
