Description for Ford Torino 1969

Here is the ultimate barn find!! It has been in the barn for the past 25 years plus. It has 46. 00 original miles. The car is a oneowner car and everything is original. My uncle bought the car brand new from Hudson. NY Ford. He parked in his dry barn since 1989. He had renewed the registration in 1989 got it inspected and then parked till last month. The stickers are still in thewindow and expired in 1991. I have a full Marti report on the car and it is included in one of the pics below. The car is very Rare and is 1 out of 29 made with the options he ordered it with. The report gives the whole story on all the options ordered. I got the car out from its parking space from the past 25 years. I completely went through the whole car and it is running and Driving now. It drives great!! I will list the following that was done. I replaced all the fluids in the car. Replaced the fuelTank and its lines. All the brakes were replaced. The front had new rotors. new calipers. new lines. new pads. new wheelBearings. The rear brakes have all new drums. new shoes. new hardware. new wheel cylinders. I have installed a new masterCylinder and a new brake booster. For the questions that are going to be asked about all the old parts. I have them all. I have All the original parts that I removed or took off. I have the original tank. calipers. wheel cylinders. master cylinder etc. I know someone will want them to keep this car original as possible. Also in the pics you will see a new Holley carb installed. I have the original numbers matching carb and it is being rebuilt. It will be installed when it returns to me. I also have the Ram air section for the air cleaner. Not pictured. The only thing not original to the car is the distributor. It was replaced back In the early 70's with a Mallory dual point dist. It's the only part I do NOT have. I know they are out there and are available forCheap. If I locate one before the auction end I will replace it so it all original. All the numbers match on the car and the car has super low miles with 46. 00 miles and counting. The interior is all original and in great shape. The drivers seat has a couple Rips on a few seams. They could be easily fixed and will look 100%. The rest of the interior is in good shape. As for the Body on this car. it has NO rot. I know that's hard to believe but it's true!! This car was well preserved and never rusted. ( TellMe where in the world will you find another one of these rare cars with all numbers matching. low miles. and NO rot??)They don't come around too often. So back to the body condition. It does have a little surface rust but not much as you can tell from the pics. There is a difference between rust and rot. Every car out there is going to have some rust. Rust can be cleaned And looks good again. Rot is a hard thing to correct. Look at all pics of the undercarriage. The body has all the original paint. The Only spot touched up was the drivers door back in 1977. My uncle hit and scratched the door with a cart at the hardwareStore and had someone touch it up. He said it cost $189 to fix. Back then that was a lot of money. The paint still looks goodAnd shines nicely. I am not sure anyone will want to paint this car as it is such an original car you would de-value the car. That's just my opinion. The floors are perfect underneath. the trunk is also prefect. the quarters. doors. fenders are all in great Shape. There is some primer my uncle put on some spots low on the car that he did back years ago. There is no body work Underneath those spots and I don't know why he did it. I guess he thought he was going to stop any rust from happeningOver the years. I guess it worked. I would personally get a machine and rub the primer off. The paint underneath is in goodShape. You have to come see the car in person to really believe everything I am telling you. This car is truly a time capsule. Another question I have been asked is the wiring. The wiring is perfect. NO mice got in the car and ate anything. Everything actually still works. The am radio works and the fm booster sound great. All the lights and blinkers work. The wipers works. nbsp; The heat works. The only thing I saw so far that doesn't work is the horn. I have to look and possibly there is a fuse out. The trunk light still works. This car is in amazing shape for what it is. It's a rare original low mileage car. Check it out!!Call me at 516-250-2605 to ask any questions you have. So to cap everything off this car is truly a time capsule and was well preserved over the years. You must come see it to believe The condition of the car. If you can't come yourself. send someone to look at it for you. There are companies out there that are cheap. Use them. I have the car listed locally and will Sell the car before the auction ends if I get the right price. If you would Like to make an offer please fell free to do so. The worst I say is no.
