Truck was built by a professional custom and rod shop. This is not a home build. Body off frame restoration was just completed. Every part was either restored or replaced in the build. Tons of hours went into building this truck and no corners were cut. This is an original frame build not an S-10 hack conversion. Truck has the perfect stance / look and runs and drives awesome and is 100% road ready and needs absolutely nothing vs other Rat Rod / Patina builds out there. You cannot build this truck cheaper vs the reserve price it's impossible. Turns heads and get's tons attention from anyone that sees it.
Body:Extremely solid for a 48. It lived most of its life down south then sat in a body shop for years and has the perfect Patina. Truck was a gutted roller when I got it so everything is new or rebuilt. Bed is very solid for age and tailgate is nice. Sheet metal floor used for bed. I didn't cover the under body or the floors with Dynamat or undercoating on purpose so you could see how solid the floors are. If you buy the truck and want that done it can be installed for a price.
Frame:Original 1948 Frame that was never hacked up or rotted. Chassis was cleaned and painted. We decided to use new lowering springs for stance vs a cheap bag set up. I have seen too many cars and trucks stuck as shows with a blown out bag or leaking lines. Everything else is new.
Motor / Trans:Low mileage small block Chevy with just rebuilt automatic transmission. Motor has under 65K miles and runs great with plenty of power. New carb / intake / water pump – fuel pump – exhaust manifolds – starter solenoid – belts – hoses – filters etc.
Rear End:Ford 9inch was swapped in to replace the stock rear
