Description for Ford Deluxe 1941
Here's a cool hot rod that mixes rarity and originality with some great upgrades. This 1941 Ford 5 Window Super Deluxe Business Coupe is a true head-turner at any car show. Plus, with a performance-built Ford V8, enhanced front end, and a nice interior, it has a great driveability that will make you want to cruise all day long. This well-preserved coupe is a nice cross between an original car and a street rod. Sometimes custom work goes too far and takes away a car's soul, but not this one. Just take a look at the front end. The factory grilles have been polished to an exceptional shine, and wide chrome bumper looks 40s spectacular. But then you also notice the clear lens headlights and some of the trim has been deleted to give the wide fenders a sleeker appearance. The gold color has a nice modern clearcoat luster, but it's not too flashy to distract from the full-length body trim, bold dual exhaust pipes, or the chrome rear bumper that mirrors the front one in size and shine. But the best piece of brightwork has to be the wheels. From far away they just look like the kind of bright components you would see on any good street rod, but as you get closer, you discover that the design follows the traditional moon hubcap with trim ring style. But since the part that would usually be a painted steelie wheel is also polished, the whole effect makes the wheels feel like a thoughtful custom touch.Inside is a tasteful mix of old and new. The exterior color is continued on the dash, and a coordinating shade of cloth is used for the bench seat, door panels, carpets, and trunk. And speaking of the trunk, you don't think we'd let a cool business coupe get away without reminding you why these make the best custom cars. After all, moonshiners loved these because of the huge trunk. That outlaw spirit lives on in this '41 Ford. You sit behind a nice original wheel, and the cool digital gauge panel remains hidden until fire up the motor. Plus, your modern AM/FM/CD stereo (w/aux input) is hidden in the glovebox. So until you let others hear the rumbling exhaust, the only interior indicator of something special under the hood is the auxiliary gauge package mounted under the dash. The engine bay is full of Ford power. The 351 Windsor V8 looks show-ready with its shiny Ford Racing valve covers, slotted air cleaner, shiny pulleys, tidy wires, and even the famous Ford V8 symbol on the radiator cap. But beyond this cool appearance is some serious substance. It has been built with roller rockers, mild cam, Holley four-barrel carburetor, and performance intake. Performance hearers that connect to the lake exhaust for added street rod personality and plenty of muscular sounds out of the dual pipes. But more than just a powerful V8, this custom classic was built to be easy to live with. For example the motor stays cool even in traffic thanks to the aluminum radiator with an electric fan. On the road this one feels great thanks to a Heidts independent front end, three-speed automatic transmission, and front disc brakes. The final touch is Hankook tires in the front for good modern grip, and large BF Goodrich T/As in the rear for a true mean stance.1941 is always an interesting year to own. It was the last full production year before WWII, and so even in your driveway, it's fun to walk around this coupe and have an American history lesson with your car buddies. Then again, with all the custom touches, it might turn into more of moonsiner tales. Yes, this Ford is that much fun even before you enjoy the big motor and its fierce growl. Call today!!!
