Description for Ford Model T 1926
Up for auction is this nice shape & very cute little Model T Roadster pickup. This was a pickup from the factory and not a redesigned one made out of a coupe or sedan. All original. It has its original 4 cylinder 177 C.I. 21 HP engine. The transmission is original, planetary type. The engine has been overhauled and runs like a watch. It has electric starter and starts instantly every time with no smoking at any time. The bands are fresh and shifts from low to high nicely. The spark advance and throttle work like they should and also runs on the 'magneto' the way it should. It is nice and clean under the hood. It goes down the road nicely. It cruises at 40-45-MPH, 55 max down hill. It has four new firestone 4.40 x 21" tires along with a good spare too. It has a nice body with zero rust and no bondo. There are a few little scratches, however, wonderful patina. The top is fairly new with one small rip that has been repaired & is hardly noticeable. It has a nice dash with working horn, lights and gauges. The seat is in real nice shape as is rubber floor mat. It has a neat little toolbox mounted to running board- also original. The truck has excellent shape wood spoke wheels. The glass is all good. The doors shut real nice. The box of the truck is very nice with good wood and nice tail gate too. It has nice oak benches for the kids to ride in the back which makes it excellent for going through parades, advertising or even nice for riding on warmer days. The truck would look great outside an antique shop, bait shop or farmers market. In review this is a very desirable, excellent running, driving, stopping and non-smoking little truck. A great piece of American history. Please email to exchange phone numbers to further discuss this little gem.
