Description for Ford Thunderbird 1969

Due to a job relocation to Arizona I am helping theowner of this 1969 ford thunderbird. He had nowhere to store the car in Arizona and decided to sell it hereto help pay for the moving cost.It had been in storage for about 5 years in one of the barns on the property. Prior to that it had been fully restored.

This car has 48,695 miles!!!! the title matches.

The cars body is in great condition. There are very few small bubbles in the paint that are hardly noticeable. The underside looks really good with very minimal surface rust. All four doors open and close very well, no sagging or snagging. The interior of the car is in ok condition. It looks good but could use a really good shampooing. It has sat inside a building for the last 5 years. There is a small tear in the top of the drivers seat pictured. All four windows are not in working condition. When powered individually they seem to work. The main switch on the driversside door will need to be replaced. The original is included and couldprobly be repaired. Also the armrest is in poor condition on the drivers side door. The Power antenna does not go up and down. I turned the radio on and it seemed to work, but the antenna did not deploy.

The car starts and runs well. It sounds really good. It has a newer 3in exhaust system. The gas in the car is older and it causes the car to hesitate to start a little, but once running seems fine. The original owner said that the trans was leaking. It is not leaking at this point. THe atf is at the bottom of the dip stick. it seems to drive and shift fine. I have not looked any further into it. I dont think The AC is working. The compresser comes on and spins but it did not get cold.

The suspension seems great. The tires look new or almost new. The car is really fast for its size. the lights all work, including the hideaway headlights.

Overall the car is a really good looking rare bodystyle. It was the cream of the crop for ford in 1969. It needs a little bit of tinkering and shes ready to go. It runs and drives as is, but is being sold as is. I do not know the car well enough to offer any type of warranty. good luck and thanks for looking....
