Description for Ford F-100 1974
Let me start by saying this reserve price isn't unreasonable or high- I actually want to sell this truck and not interested in testing the market on how much I can get. I only set a reserve price so I wouldn't lose money. so please bid what you can afford and yes I will Ship anywhere. I plan on selling it here on eBay only and paying the $125. 00 FVF. I invested $17. 00 upfront. I'm looking forward to meeting the new owner and exchanging feedback and moving on to my next car. Super Condition Truck that starts and drives great (steering wheel off center when driving). All Ford needs is a good exterior paint to look more dreamier than it already is. Mechanically Super. Suspension and Steering great (only minor rust that I can find in truck bed and a little around top of inside cab on passenger side) Truck is so nice. I didn't want to wash it! Someone is going to get a real solid Ford F100 Ranger. Story: Truck was purchased new by the Grandfather here in Western NC and he kept really good care of his possessions. When the engine started to smoke in 2004. he wouldn't replace the engine. he just had to do it properly and rebuild it. He also had all the rust cut off and fixed. and Transmission rebuilt. This is what we know of! When I drove it . the steering felt great. i believe the steering had been rebuilt because I had a 79 Lariat with steering rebuilt and this even turned better than that. 5000-6000 miles later he got sick and parked it in the barn. His son decided it wasn't for him and only put very few miles on it since! So the Grandson. decided to get it out of barn and give it life again. this is only in last 6 months. The grandson replaced Gas Tank. uel Pump. Fuel Lines. uel Filter. ew Exhaust. arb Adjusted. uel Filter. ew Battery and Fresh Gasoline because of the old gas had gone bad in the previous Gas Tank. The Brakes work as well as 1974 Brakes should. It takes a little to get used to pressing down hard on them to stop. but they work fine for being original. Yesterday. I drove it to the mechanic at my favorite oil change stop and the guy under truck changing the fluids and lubing the suspension was impressed on how clean the under carriage was. So I'm pretty sure based on condition it has always been garaged. I had the transmission Fluid & Oil change yesterday at cost of $125. 00. The rear differential color wasn't too dark. but recommended changing it after driving around a bit more. The truck starts immedietly after a few pumps of gas pedal like a new truck. In the mornings you have to hold down on pedal to keep engine going for about 20-30 seconds. It will idle high until its warms. hen you press on gas pedal and it goes back to normal idle. Here's some blemishes that I noticed. . The engine horn has been bi-passed and there is an aftermarket horn button. 2. The truck is wired to start in any gear. not sure why the grandfather wired it this way. 3. The Grandson attempted to fix grandpa's run in with a fence with some bondo and minor rust repair around rear bed-tailgate area. It probably caused more damage than good. This was last week! 4. The truck has had 1 repaint since restoration 10 years ago with original color. but has faded pretty good. 5. When you open the drivers door the door catches the fender. I have the trim part. just needs to be reattached and adjust the area so door doesn't catch the fender. 6. Gas line part on order which is cracked. but will be replaced in next week at my cost. 7. Interior Drivers round handle knob is missing and Interior Drivers Door Handle is half broken off. 8. Good size rip on drivers side seat as you can see in pictures. 9. Bent rear bumper on right side. Misc Dings throughout. 1-2" ding on top of rear tailgate. long scratch across entire right side and bent in from hitting a fence. All trim intact and very little ding damage to trim work. 10. I would repaint exterior with nice original color. 11. Temp gauge not working. 12. at nighttime the 2 top gauge lights don't work. ( i think battery and oil gauge lights) and left turn signal light. All exterior lights and turn signals work fine. All the Trim looks to be original and is all there. :) Also. the original am radio works fine. The interior weather stripping looks descent. Somebody must of replaced it in last 10-15 years. The interior paint looks new. i believe it was part of restoration at some point. Super Truck for sale. if the reserve price doesn't get met. I will start the process of polishing up the exterior trim and give the Ranger a nice original repaint to make shiny again. I will also have the rear bumper bent back or just put a new one on. Mechanically. this truck drives great. Questions and to make an appointment. please call me at 828-423-1071 9am-9pm Eastern Time Zone so I can get a good nights sleep. I will help with shipping company or you can feel at ease driving home most distances. No Trades. Cash or Bank Account transfer Only. Out of Respect for prospective or current bidders. I will not under any circumstances entertain any offers over phone or in person. I encourage anyone to come view the truck in person if needed. my schedule is flexible. I will not sell outside eBay. It alway bothers me to read that a seller would end listing early if someone makes them an offer outside of eBay. I will be letting the listing run it's coarse. so please don't ask me for what I will take to end the listing early. I will not tell my reserve price. tis the reason why I paid 15 bucks more in fee's. I've been on Ebay for many years and know all the "common tricks". Honesty is how I do business and any and all that I know of truck is listed up front so i'm not wasting your time or mine in driving to NC. I drive everyday. so if anything comes up I will either fix or let potential bidders know. I will assist in WORLDWIDE SHIPPING naturally. at buyer's expense. I'm very experienced in the process. You would have to transfer the funds to my bank account first. On Jan-07-15 at 08:34:06 PST. seller added the following information:Please look at undercarriage pics.
