Description for Ford Mustang 1983
I'm looking to sell my low-mileage '83 Mustang GLX soft-top convertible in excellent condition. It's black with a sweet red leather interior. The odometer reads a tad over 36,000 miles and the title is clean. The first owner was a lovely old woman in New Hampshire who used the car almost exclusively to go to church and the grocery store, so that's the source of the first 32,000 miles or so. Over the course of the for-sale period, it may clock an extra couple of miles, since I like to take it around the block every couple of days to keep everything running smoothly — feel free to ask for the specific current mileage.I finally had the time this past year to pull it out, clean it up, and get the engine moving again, and now it's time for it to find an owner who will drive it like it was meant to be driven. It was babied for all of its life, but it deserves better than to collect dust in my garage. You have to come drive this wonderful machine to see for yourself what a great ride it is!
The car is equipped with the expected features — the AC, radio, lights, and motorized soft top work just as you'd hope — but it also has some nice luxuries like powered windows, powered locks, and cruise control!
In the past year the vehicle (which still comprises all of its original parts) has undergone approximately $4,000 in tuning and assessment, and it looks and drives just about like new. It recently passed Massachusetts state inspection and is ready for the road!
I've had dealers tell me that they could sell it for $20,000 but I'd rather give someone a nice deal and get it out on the road instead of trying to wring the extra cash out of its next owner.
The scope of delivery for this sale includes (1) the vehicle, its current original floormats, and the four currently-mounted late-'70s wheels; (2) the original four 1983 wheels; (3) the original leather cover for the retracted top and its associated leather case; and (4) a Clymer shop manual. (5) And of course, the ignition key, door key, and copies of both are included, as well as the original metal and leather key fob.
If you're local and want to come by and see it for yourself, just ask!
Best Offer is open for those who would like some wiggle room on the price tag. Shoot me an offer and we'll see what we can workout — I want to sell this as much as you want to buy it!
