Description for Ford Other 1951
Up for sale in our Houston showroom is a one off 1951 Ford F100 with a 502 V8 Motor with 510hp traveling through a 700R4 transmission shifted courtesy of a Lokar stick. At the top of that sinister mill is a high rise fuel injection system. This big block is decked out with chromed custom valve covers and Street and Performance Ceramic headers. They breathe through a custom dual exhaust system that exits in front of the back wheels on each side that looks amazing. The engine has been painted to match the frame and body of the truck as you would expect in a quality build of this caliber. The top of the engine and every pulley on the front is chromed out to create a stunning view under the hood. In front of this engine is an aluminum Moroso radiator, polished power steering components and custom chrome hood hinges to make the engine compartment clean and cohesive. Upon glancing at the F-1 it's very apparent that plenty of hours were spent on fit and finish of the truck's outer skin. The roof was pulled down 2 ¾ inches for a better profile, shaved the firewall, custom made the rear rollpans, and fit every body gap to perfection. The bed is a Mar-K piece and the tail lights were shaved in favor of bright LED's flanking the frenched license plate box. With the sheetmetal straight and the chassis built, everything was taken apart and delivered to the paint shop. Once there the dripping wet Candy Brandywine was applied over every inch of the straightened sheetmetal, boxed frame, transmission and smoothed engine block. Creature comforts inside the cab are on par with the rest of the Ford's customizing. The interior including the ceiling is covered in oyster leather with ostrich highlights. Classic instruments' gauges monitor the vitals and are visible through the polished Billet Specialties steering wheel. A new Vintage A/C unit has been custom installed to keep you cool while enjoying some tunes on the Alpine stereo system. On all four corners you will find 29X 18-inch Mickey Thompson Sportsman Radials wrapped around 20X15 inch Intro wheels shoved under the rear fenders.
This truck has 15 best of show trophies garnered through more than 30 shows so far. This truck will be turning heads for years to come. This beauty is located at our Houston location showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com, or call (832)243-6220 for additional information.
