Description for Ford Mustang 1973
For sale in our Chicago showroom is a truly beautiful original Ford Mustang Mach 1. The year is 1973 and Ford is continuing the muscle car efforts even though EPA regulations are swiftly advancing. Ford created this Mach 1 just in time! This is an original, numbers matching, un-restored Mach 1. If you listen carefully you can still here the plant workers using their impacts to assemble the car. Okay, maybe you can't still hear them but the interior has definitely absorbed the breath of ages. No telling what stories it holds. Under the hood is the original 351 CID V8 Cleveland 4 valve engine. The engine is backed by an automatic C6 transmission. Here's the kicker, this Mustang has just 44,147 actual miles. The car was originally built on March 30, 1973 at the Dearborn, MI plant. The car was then sold June 19th of 1973. Options ordered includes: AC, AM radio, black vinyl roof, radial ply tires, rear deck spoiler, power steering, Rim Blow-Deluxe steering wheel, tilt column, sport deck rear seat, console, power front disc brakes, 8-track player, deluxe seat belts, tinted glass, power windows, and forged aluminum wheels. Needless to say, the car was ordered with the very best stuff! Looking inside the car it is obvious it is original, after a car has been restored it tends to lose the small attention to detail, no this one! The Mach 1 comes with a Marti report documenting its authenticity. Backing the 248 horsepower engine is a 9" rear-end with 3.25 gears; perfect for all around driving. The exterior of the car is not to be overlooked. The paint is all original and is Mid-Copper Metallic. To show just how nice of a car we have here, the Mach 1 won the Gold award as an Un-restored vehicle at a Mustang Club of America National Show. Impressive to say the least. If you are looking for a true head turner that you could talk hours about, here is a nice match.
