Description for Ford Galaxie 1968
This Trophy winning, 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback is an absolute beautiful time capsule. This classic had been a one owner unrestored vehicle when I purchased and remains an unrestored unmolested vehicle to this day. With only 22,200 original documented miles! This beauty has always been garage kept, all the while being mechanically and meticulously maintained throughout the years. This Galaxie 500 is powered by a super tight 302 automatic that runs smooth and quiet as the day it left the showroom floor, absolutely no squeaks or leaks of any kind. All the electrical and mechanics are in perfect working order even the clock! with NO issues whatsoever. This beautiful Galaxie still remarkably displays the shine of the ORIGINAL FACTROY Meadowlark Yellow paint. For an unrestored vehicle, you will be more than pleased with the over all condition of the paint, chrome on both front and rear bumpers, not to mention the condition of the grill, headlight and taillight bezels, along with the rest of the trim.
As for the rich beautiful all original black interior. Well let me just say it is in the most incredible shape! The headliner is black, flawless, and taught with no stretching or wrinkles. The front and the back seats are again all black, trimmed out in black vinyl with black Paisley inserts. Incredible why? Because the original owner ordered plastic protective seat coverings at the time of purchase and remains on and continues to keep the interior (including the sun visors and the bottom of the door panels) protected and in pristine condition.
Just to give this classic a little bit of an attitude, I replaced (but kept the wheels, Bias-ply tires and hubcaps) with a brand new set of Ford Magnum 500 wheels and BFGoodrich radial tires. I also changed (but kept the stock exhaust system due to the fact that the original muffler has Ford Motor Company Sept. 18, 1967 stamped on it) with dual exhaust two flow master 40 mufflers and chrome extensions.
This vehicle can be viewed on YouTube also by typing in 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback.I submitted a walk around video (I feel that would do the vehicle a better Justice than some pictures do)
Please be advised, as only a car enthusiast and hobbyist this is my unprofessional but honest opinion and description of this vehicle. My intentions are not to waste anyone's time (so please if you are not truly interested, respectfully don't waste mine), but to merely let one know that this vehicle is available.
