Description for Ford Galaxie 1963
Here for your consideration is a1963 1/2 427 Galaxie 500 XL. The 427 Fords were the Kings of the street and dragstrips in the 60's, This is an absolutely rust-free example that resided in Arizona most of it's life and was later taken to Idaho. These cars were originally equipped with the Borg Warner T-10 4 speed transmission, but when the big spline top-loaders were introduced in 1968, the owner bought one new from Ford and installed in this car. This was a tremendous upgrade. After removing the T-10, he had it completely gone through and is original to the car as well as the 9" rear and all suspension components. This car has actually been photographed for reference in concours correct restorations. This Galaxie is wearing 65% of it's original paint with a few spot ins to repair scratches in the quarters.
