Description for Ford Thunderbird 1965
CLASSIC THUNDERBIRD The 1965 T bird was the highest priced convertible for the line to ever be built including the 1966 models. It boasted fine lines, sleek styling and an outstanding luxury sport interior all wrapped up in a smooth driving full size automobile. Some Thunderbird advancements included the iconic sequential turn signals, disc brakes and 390 cubic inch V8. This classic bird runs smooth and drives like a dream. The top, paint, interior are in great shape. The interior shows well but also shows some age. All off the lights, brightwork and grill are in great shape. The power top has been disconnected and only operates manually right now. (some wiring will be needed to get the power working correctly ) The power windows all work but do require help up as they are slow. The radial tires are newer and in great shape and are mounted on the original rims that compliment the car color nicely, especially when the rear wheel skirts are installed. A new white top was installed a year ago and has not been in the sun yet. New weather stripping was also installed with the top, which gives a little extra rich look on this luxury 60's car. The car has spent most of its life in California and Arizona, from what information I have. It has been covered, and in garaged since I've had it. It was purchased to be a daily driver, and if I still had a garage for it, it might not be for sale. The undercarriage is also in good shape and all known mechanical work for a reliable driver has been completed. If you have any questions about the car, don't hesitate to email or phone me at 858-688-3671. The car is located in San Diego, CA, and can be shipped worldwide to its new owner. thanks for looking and good luck in the auction Clay
