1931 Model A Ford Tudor. This is a true fully professionally restored car. It has beautiful black paint. with the original style tan check interior. Restoration was completed in 2013. Car has been driven less than 2 miles since the work was completed. Over $40. 00 was spent on the restoration. including new parts. materials. and labor. Car is owned by a family in Atlanta. where it has been in that family since the 1940s. The owner of the car is 92 years old now and although he wanted the car completely restored to like new condition. he cannot enjoy it so he would like to pass it on to someone who will appreciate it. and be able to get some enjoyment out of it. The car was brought to my shop in 2012. It was completely disassembled. all the parts were categorized and labeled. Everything was disassembled to the last nut and bolt. including the engine. transmission. driveline. brakes. body and fenders. All the body and fenders were stripped to the bare metal. then epoxy primered and professionally massaged until perfectly straight. Meanwhile. the chassis was completely rebuilt with new parts throughout. The brakes have been rebuilt with cast-iron brake drums. all new brake shoes and hardware. all assembled and adjusted correctly. The engine was professionally rebuilt with inserted main bearings. hardened valve seats. new pistons. new timing gears. adjustable lifters. everything inside the engine is new. The transmission was rebuilt with all new bearings and gaskets. the rear end received the same treatment with new bearings. seals and gaskets throughout. The steering gear. steering column. and all the steering linkage was also properly rebuilt. Each assembly was painstakingly rebuilt to new condition. After the chassis was completed. including a new Brassworks radiator. all new electrical wiring. new fuel system. 6 V alternator. and halogen headlights. All the original stainless steel was professionally polished. including the headlights. cowl band. and radiator shell. The car has new Firestone tires. powder coated buff colored wheels. with a matching hand laid pinstripe. and new bumpers. When the body and paint work was completed it was completely professionally buffed to a high luster. Then the body was reassembled onto the chassis with new frame welting. fender welting. new body blocks. and new body and fender bolts. Car has all new glass. and all new rubber and welting throughout. new Cartouche interior. new floorboards and formats. rebuilt speedometer. new chrome instrument panel. gearshift and parking brake handle. like I said. no expense was spared on this full restoration.
