Description for Ford F-100 1973
WIMBLEDON WHITE WITH CANDYAPPLE RED DELUXE TUTONERegular cab with 8 foot box.
Driven daily to and from work about 7 miles round tripup to 2/29/16, when I bought another truck for a longer trip to work.
Purchased in Spokane, WA and driven to Moscow, 85 miles.
I am thinking odometer is actual mileage as truck has not been used much and its condition, but could be +100,000 but I doubt it.
Here is story from guy I bought it from:
"I traded my boat for it a year ago and the guy I got it from was the second owner. The first owner was a farmer who used it when he first bought it but after a few years it was rarely used. Apparently he just past being a little over 90 years old I think. The truck has been down there it's whole life until the few months that I had brought it up here." He trailered it and did not drive it. "down there" is Moscow, ID where it is again, now. Moscow is a fairly small town.
Have a second owner receipt dated 9/9/09 with 52,594 miles on it.
Starts right now, runs and drives well.
Truck is all original except owner just before me changed; door panels and armrests to black, have original reds; sun visors to black, have original reds; wheels to 1983's I think, have originals; he replaced the door sill plates, have originals; he applied chrome trim lower body panels.

A very knowledgeable Old Ford Truck guy verified mileage is actual by recognition of many original parts that would have been replaced if over 100,000; water pump, radiator, exhaust piping, fuel tank, spare tire, drivers side seat spring resilience, pedal pad wear, alternator, clutch strength, condition of bed. He also stated rear main seals often leaked on the 360 especially when not driven. Also, the exact location of the exhaust leak was common on the 360.
Vent cables are intact and working, e-brake works great and cables move freely, most parts on the truck are original, intact and working that would likely have been replaced if over 100,000.
A Ford Truck guy at O'Reilly stated, they bolted the intake manifold to the heads and oil leaks from the intake manifold are common with the 360 and would happen before 100,000.
A craigslist responder said old Ford odometer numbers would go uneven if over 100,000.
Oil has coated much of engine therefore gunky. In 9 months about half a quart of oil used drips on drive though, stick stays steady oil scent and consistency, no fuel or antifreeze scent.
While installing reman carb, torqued intake and valve cover bolts, all but a few intake bolts were loose.
Engines resting for long periods can develop exhaust leaks, which it has at left rear of engine looking from front of vehicle.
Power steering fluid stays steady.
When cold, shifting is stiff.
Right turn signal sticks.
Hub of knob on drivers window crank is loose.
Of course that woven seat material is coming apart on drivers side.
