This 1950 1/2 ton shortbox with the flathead v8 and factory 4 speed survived from southern minnesota. I got the truck home here to iowa after I bought it and used a starter we had off a different flathead v8 (original starter froze) to see if the engine turned. The engine turns freely. The starter does not go with the sale. In my opinion, this would be a easy, quick truck to get running with a fresh tune up and carb rebuild. The interior is all original and the dash and door panels are original paint and look great. The gauges are all there and all of the glass is in the truck as pictured. The doors all open and shut with no sag and the windows go up and down like they should. The floor is solid and as the pics and video show, the cab corners and bottom of the doors are solid. The previous owner did fender work and painted them black, the rest of the truck is original paint. This truck would look awesome in a clear coat finish! He painted the grill and front bumper chrome, The tires should be replaced but they do hold air and the truck rolls easy. The trans shifts all 4 gears and the clutch holds while in gear. This truck comes with a clean numbers matching the vin plate title ready for you to register it.This would make a great daily driver or you could rat rot/hot rod it, or take it to the next level and do a full restoration. I have set the reserve well below the value of a 1/2 ton shortbox flathead 8 4 speed on the floor truck in this condition. only bid if you are serious about buying it.As everyone has their own opinion of what a 66 year old survivor pick up should be, I recommend hiring ebay to do a independant inspection for you or come and see it by appointment.
