Description for Ford F-150 1978
Just in time for Christmas. The elections are over, safe to say now these classics wont be dropping in value any time soon. This is my and has been my daily driver. Over 7,000 miles have been racked up on this since Easter '16. Reliable, always starting easy, good driving, running, stopping and functionaltruck. Fuel millage is surprisinggood. It shifts great, no issues. Clutch is great. Drive anyplace. Its not perfect, the bed sucks, its from a different truck and does have rust. The cab, fenders and doors are nice for this type of truck and its age. Its an older truck so it is a bit rickety but its a VERY good daily driver or shop truck. Originalheadliner is still there and nice. Still has originalsteering wheel.
New parts this summer:
- Alternator
- Voltage Regulator
- Power Steering Pump
- Recurved Dura Spark Distributor
- Dual 2.25" Magnaflow exhaust (sounds really good)!
- Brad Penn Zinc 10w40 oil, Motor Craft oil filter
Almost 58,000 miles. 302 4 speed stick, 3.50:1 Limited Slip 9" Rear. Aluminum17" wheels.
Heat blows very hot, it was 29* today, it was nice and toasty in the cab! Its not a show truck or perfect but its one hell of a driver! You can fly in and drive home any place in the US probably, it hasn'tlet me down. It may be a little uncomfortable at very fast speeds for a long time. Its a '78, really different than say my new Superduty diesel on long trips. But if you have had one of these, you know what I am talking about. I drive this 30-50 miles a day. Its fun....a truck and a classic.
