Description for Ford Streetrod 1930
You're looking at one of the coolest presentations around. This 1930 Ford is a complete custom build that has great custom rod touches like adaptable components and the machine turned metal body, but underneath the surface are also great upgrades like power windows, four-wheel disc brakes, and an overdrive transmission. So while the big 425 V8 will draw you in, it's this thoughtful complete package that makes it so desirable.A 1930 Ford body taken down to its bare metal is a gutsy proposition. Over the last 85+ years there could be some pretty interesting surprises hiding under the paint. But in this case, it became the perfect canvas to machine turn the metal and then clear over it to preserve the bare metal. From a distance the body looks amazing with a huge shine and an unbeatable design. And as it draws in the crowds there are small things that give character and make this a true custom rod, but really, any little marks in the body gets us thinking about the generations of people this Henry Ford Steel body has seen over its lifetime. Wherever you go there will be people pouring over the details like the Leaping Lena front grille, pop out windshield, roll back top, Ball jar gas cap, and '59 Cadillac tailfin taillights. But those who stay longer are the ones who realize each of these pieces has been expertly crafted to be a part of the greater artwork. And you see the true creativity in all the work that went into the build. It's in everything from the chopped top (10.5 inches front/8.5 inches rear) to the custom boxed frame that allows this coupe to get low to the ground without channeling the rails through the body. The finishing touch is keeping a set of the old school Ford V8 hubcaps on 15-inch whitewalls so everyone understands how truly low you can go.The interior has been just as carefully crafted to be comfortable without betraying the minimalist attitude. It starts with the custom ostrich textured buckets that share this quality with the drive shaft bulge that runs in-between the individual seats. There are even come nice comfort features like cup holders, heater, and power windows. The metal flake embossed quick release steering wheel (for easy exit and entry) gives a hint at the flash that this custom creation brings to the road. But you take one look at the Genie shifter and the large full gauge package, including column-mounted tach, and you know this is a serious driving machine. We know you've been staring at that motor, and so will everyone else. It's a 425 cubic-inch Buick Nailhead V8 with a bored .30 over kit. It's a fully built motor that includes new piston rings & bearings, Comp Cams "Thumpr" cam, Accel coil, and Petronix electronic ignition. That's all great to keep this V8 powerful and reliable, but the upgrades that will really grab attention are the Offenhauser pieces. Those valve covers are iconic and have blue in the ribs to match the block. Plus, the Offenhauser performance intake holds the standout three-deuce carburetor setup. And a motor this mean deserves a raucous exhaust note, and that's exactly what you get out of those straight pipes. This one is built to be strong on the road with a three link mono-leaf front suspension and a four-link coliover rear. But to think of this as a complete brute would mean missing this custom's full picture. Sure, the 700R4 four-speed automatic w/2800 PRM stall is stout enough to handle the power of this enhanced V8, but also it has an overdrive gear. The Ford rear end borrowed from a Crown Vic is strong, too, but its 3.50 gears are great for all-around cruising. Plus, features like the aluminum radiator w/electric fan and four-wheel disc brakes are the kind of thoughtful upgrades that make this custom great for anytime use.It takes time, money, and planning to get a produce a creation like this (and there are the build receipts to prove it.) Or you save money and skip to the front of the line right now with a custom that surpasses your imagination. And with only 6,680 miles on the whole build, it's barely broken in. A deal like this won't last long in our showroom so call now!!
